Mira finished applying makeup on Aria's face she smiled at her handwork. "Excellent, you look like the Princess you are now".

Aria took the mirror and admired herself. "Impressive, I might not need a makeup artist for Jackie's wedding next month. I already have one".

Mira smiled and curtsied "It'll be a pleasure milady"

Mira was Aria's lady in waiting at Kingsville but in the modern world, they were best of friends. Aria had completed her training as a vampire and witch but she told her parents she wanted to be free so they let her go. She stayed in mainland with Mira.

They heard the honking of a car and Aria quickly put on her shoes. She had picked a red gown for the date with Charles.

"Oh my goodness! You look so beautiful I almost didn't recognize you".

"Oh please stop teasing me"

She was glad she had made a Male friend. All her life the only friends she knew were the ones at the castle and the kids at highschool. Her father was so strict he didn't let her get close to boys.

"So tell me, what is a beauty like you doing alone in a strangers car?"

Aria shot him a look and scoffed.

"Stranger? I thought we were friends already"

He smiled and grinned at her

"Just checking. You live alone?"

"No. My friend and I live together"

"I see. Well I'm thinking of moving out of my current location. Want to have my own place."

"OK"

They got a restaurant and took a table. While Charles placed an order for red wine and beef, Aria ordered for Juice.

"When was the last time you fed properly?" Charles asked as he sipped his wine.

"Pardon?"

"I mean the last time you ate. I'm surprised you ordered only juice".

"Oh, I don't eat much"

"I see"

They sipped their drinks in silence until Charles cleared the air.

"Where exactly are you from?"

"Kingsville"

"Oh I'm also from Kingsville"

Aria bit her lower lip, she was hoping he wouldn't dig further into the subject but he did anyway asking about her family. She chanted some words under her breath making the tray a waiter was holding to fall near her and the drink spilled on her dress.

The waiter we quickly apologized but she told him not to worry and asked Charles that they leave. He smiled and followed her to the car.

She could have used her speed to get home on time as he had dropped her few blocks before hers but she preferred to walk.

She had only past the first house when she heard footsteps behind her but turning around, she saw no one. She hastened her steps and the footsteps behind her followed suit. She suddenly felt a cold chill run down her spine and she started to run. She glanced around and saw the old woman she had seen in her dreams running after her. She tried using her powers to disappear but they weren't working. The old woman was coming closer. Just when she was a step away from her, she collided with someone and the old woman disappeared.

"You're safe now"

She loosened her self from the embrace and stared blankly at the man that held her. It was a young man and he was holding a car key in his hands. She looked behind him and saw a car parked few meters ahead.

"I saw her too"

"Saw who?"

"The old lady"

Aria stared at him in shock. How was this possible?

"Who are you?" She asked him

He smiled and ruffled her hair

"I'm your guardian angel"
