Aria turned on the lights again making Mira curse in her sleep. She pulled the covers to her face and murmured.
Aria chuckled and turned off the lights. She took her towel and headed for the bathroom. Her mind flashed back to the chat as she had with Preston.
Her instincts told her to trust him so she followed him in his car.
They had talked for an hour. He told her to get rid of her fears a the dark ones only had a chance to attack when they saw ones fears.
"Be fearless and she would go away" Preston assured her.
"Who are you?" She asked again
"Someone who detests witches"
She had clenched her fists at what he said but refused to ask why. She was grateful he had helped her but was upset that he hated witches.
She noticed a strange aura around him. He wasn't human, neither was he a vampire. What was he?
He snapped his fingers in her face bringing her from her thoughts.
"Go home now" he have her his card
"Thank you"
She got out of the car in a hurry and into her her apartment.
The be went off for the day and Aria dashed out of class in a hurry. Her eyes were turning bloodshot but Mira had given her sun shades to hide the look. She hadn't fed for two days. Her body was suppose to react but because she was a high witch, it was able to tolerate it for some time.
She ran into Charles and cursed under her breath.
"Nice shades. Where are you off to?" He asked as he came closer to remove them.
She held his hand and dropped them politely.
"I'm running an errand for Mira" she said biting her lower lip as her craving increased.
"I want to apologize for last time. The waiter ruined the date."
"It's ok, we can do that some other time"
She quickly made to leave but he held her back by the wrist.
"Wait you are bleeding"
She moved her and to touch her lip. She had unconsciously bitten herself.
"Uhm hello? Aria?"
She quickly released herself from Charles grip and ran out through the back door.
Mira watched in horror as Aria told her what had happened while she was at school. Her friend looked worried.
"Did he notice anything else besides the blood from your lip?"
"No. My nails did not extend."
"Good. You have to be careful from now on. Don't stay too long without feeding"
Aria nodded and grinned at her.
