I woke up sweating. I had another nightmare that Alex was killed by the Empire. Ahsoka walked into my room. "Emily, are you ok? I sensed your fear." She says. "Yeah, I'm fine, just another nightmare." I say. She gives me a sympathetic look. "Come on, something has happened, and I think you want to see it." She said. I followed her out of my room. Even though I was just wearing a tank top and shorts, she sounded urgent. "Commander Bridger. There is something we wish you to hear. One of the other Rebel cells has made a daring attack on one of the Imperial Communication Towers on Lothal. And they succeeded." He says he pressed a botton and a message started to play.
"We have been called criminals, but we are not. We are Rebels, fighting for the people. Fighting for you. I'm not that old, but I remember a time when life was better on Lothal. Maybe not great, but never like this. See what the Empire has done to your lives, your families and your freedom? It's only going to get worse, unless we stand up and fight back. It won't be easy, there will be loss, and sacrifice, but we can't back down now. We can't back down just because we are afraid, That's when we need to stand the tallest. That's what my parents taught me, that's what my new family helped me realize. Remember, stand up together, because that's when we're strongest! As one."
The message said. Everyone that was on the bridge looked at me shocked. I had spoken along with the transmission at points. The boy had quoted my parents exact words. "It can't be." I whisper, my eyes filling with tears. "Emily, what is it?" Ahsoka asks me. "That was my brother, Ezra Bridger. I thought he was dead, but he's alive! I have to go find him!" I shout. "Commander Bridger. One of the Rebels in his cell has been captured, a Jedi like yourself, and the others have gone to rescue him. We fear that, they will not make it back alive." General Organa says. There was a beep and Ahsoka's transmitter went off. "Hello, this is Fulcrom, who are you?" She asks. "This is Chopper, I am a friend of Hera's. They are being attacked by the Empire, but are alive! We need help!" A droid shouts before the transmission ends. "Seem they are alive! We have to help them!" I shout. "I don't think we have a chose." Ahsoka says pointing out the window. The same droid had come to escort us to the battle. "Well what are we all standing around for? Let's go!" I shout. Ahsoka and I jump into the cockpit of the Shadow and jump into hyperspace along with the rest of the fleet. We ended up trading with the droid, Chopper, so he could fly the Shadow while we flew the Ghost.
The battle was short. The Rebels docked with us and we escaped. Ahsoka walks up to me. "Let's go find your brother." She says. I get up and we climb down a latter on the ghost. There was a Mandolorian, a Lasat, a Twelik, a human male, and a human teenager with blue hair and purple-blue eyes like mine. Ezra! "Fulcrum?" The Twelik asks. "My name is Ahsoka." She says. "And this is.." She was cut off by Ezra. "Emily!" He shouts. His face then goes hard. "What are you doing here?! You served the Empire. You're a traitor to our family!" He shouts. That stung. "Ezra calm down." The man says placing a hand on his shoulder. "Calm? Calm! How can I be calm?! We almost died, you, killed, the Grand Inquisitor, and now my dead sister is standing in front of me!" He shouts. "Sister?!" The Lasat and Mandolorian shout at the same time. Ezra groans and grabs his head. "This is not happening. This is not happening. This is, not, happening." He mutters to himself. "Ok, ok, let's just pretend I'm not going crazy." He says "Why did you join the Empire, when did you join the Rebels, and how are you not dead?" He asks. "Ok, one, I joined the Empire to save yours and Mom's life. Two, I joined the Rebels about two or three years after Mom and Dad died. Three, why would I be dead?" I explain. He slowly nods. "And you're Fulcrum?" I nod. He runs up and hugs me. "You're alive! You're alive! You're alive! My entire family isn't dead!" He shouts. "It's good to see you too Ezra." I say patting him on the head. "You look just like Mom." He whispers. He backs up. "So why are you here?" He asks. "Because of your transmission Ezra. Many people outside of the Lothal system heard it. You gave them hope. The second you start talking about Mom and Dad, I knew it was you." I say. "We can't back down just because we are afraid, that's when we need to stand the tallest." We say at the same time. "Dad used to say that all the time." Ezra says, I nod. "Aww, how sweet." The Lasat says sarcastically. "Zeb!" Ezra and the Mandolorian yell. "I don't know all your names." Ahsoka says. The man speaks up. "Well that's Ezra, Chopper, Hera, Zeb, Sabine, and I'm Kanan" he says. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." We start walking down a hallway. "Emily, you won't believe this. I've been training to become a Jedi." He says smugly. I force grab his lightsaber. "I guess it runs in the family." I say giving him a wink. "It's seems cockiness runs in the family as well." Kanan jokes. "Hey!" Ezra and I say at the same time. Everyone else just laughs.
An hour later....
We were all chasing an Imperial TIE. Who ever was inside of it was one hell of a good pilot. "Emily, Kanan, how 'bout we figure out who this guy is. "How?" Kanan asks. "Just remember your training." I tell him. We close our eyes and Kanan puts a hand on my shoulder. Ezra's voice comes over the com. "Kanan, I think I know you it is! The fear, the anger, the hate. It's the Sith Lord we encountered!" He shouts. I had only sensed his presence once before. Ahsoka screams and I fall onto my hands and knees. "Ahsoka?! Emily?!" He shouts. "I'm fine, I'm fine. How's Ahsoka?" I ask. "She's breathing, if that is what you're asking." He says. He puts her in a chair and then helps me up. "Ahsoka?" I ask. Her eyes flutter open. "It's him." I breath out. She nods her head. "I know." She says. "Wait, who?" Kanan asks. "A Sith Lord that Emily has encountered named Darth Vader, he killed my Master durning the Clone Wars, and he almost killed Emily." She says. He turns to me, waiting for a story, but I wasn't in the mood for talking. So I stood up and pulled down my sleeve to reveal shoulder, and the scar that went down my collarbone. I then lift my shirt to reveal my stomach and how the scar continued all the way down my stomach. Kanan just stares in aw. "This is why I am marked dead on Imperial records. No one thought I could survive this." I say sitting back down. I yawn a stretch out. Hera taps my shoulder. "Come with me." She leads we to a room. "You can bunk with me for now, you need your rest." She says. She leaves and allows me to go to sleep. I had more dreams about Alex, but at least this time, they were good.
I stood in the office of General Moff Tarkin. Another man walks in. He had blonde hair and light hazel eyes. "Agent Kallus, this is Agant Bridger. She is new to this factory and you are going to, show her the ropes, as they say." He says to the man. "Yes sir." Kallus says. Tarkin looks at me directly. "Any mishaps and you will be arrested, understood?" He asks. "Yes sir." I say. "Agent Kallus please escort Agent Bridger to her room." Tarkin says and then dismisses us. We were walking down a hallway. "So, Agent Kallus, tell me about yourself." I say. He glances at me. "You first." He says. "My name is Emily Bridger. I joined the Academy when I was 15 in place of my mom so she could take care of my brother. I graduated top of my class and I am now 18." I say. "Your turn." He sighs. "My name is Alexandr Kallus. I joined the Academy when I was nine after my parents were killed by the Empire. I too, graduated to of my class and I am now 20." He says. We arrive at a room and he opens the door. "Goodnight...Emily." He says. "Goodnight Alex." I say. "Don't call me that." Was the last thing He said before the door closed.

It was a rare day off for Alex and I and we were walking around Lothal. "Do you ever miss the days before the Empire came, before our families were killed?" I ask. My family was killed a few weeks ago. The Empire didn't care. Alex was the only one there for me. "Sometimes." He says. "You know, the Empire would be a lot more bearable if they didn't have that law saying that fellow officers couldn't show affection to one another." I say slipping my hand into his. "I know." He says stopping and pulling me infront of him. "But that is the one law I am willing to brake." He says kissing me. I place my head on his shoulder. "I miss them, they were my family." I say referring to my family. "I know Emily, and it will be ok, but they aren't your only family." He says tilting my chin up. "Thank you so much Alex." I say hugging him.

I walked the halls of the Imperial Factory. Today was the day. I'm defecting from the Empire. I had made contact with some Rebels on Alderan and they agreed to let me join them, but I was sad, I had to leave Alex. He was all the family I had left. I ran into him as he left a training room. "What's wrong?" He asked. I pulled back into the empty room. "I'm lieaving the Empire." I tell him. He didn't say anything, but he didn't look mad. "I guess now it a better time than ever." He says. "I was going to give you this the next time we had off." He held up a small green ring. I gasp. He rests his forehead against mine. "Run, run as far as you can. Stay away, stay safe. We will see each other again....I love you." He says. "I love you too Alex, I'll miss you. Until next time." I say. He slips the ring on my finger. "Go." He whispers. So that's what I did. I left, and I never went back.
