A Secret About Us

It has been a few months since I last saw Alex on the frozen moon, and I had heard about him helping Sabine in the fighting academy. Zeb had kept our secret and I was grateful. I had been deployed on a mission with Kanan and Ezra to infiltrate the Imperial Factory. 

"Look at all those ships." Ezra says. "I knew thing were bad, but not this bad." I say. "This is our home Kanan, we can't stand to see it like this." I say. "Then let's do something about it." Kanan says. "Yeah, if only Rider would hurry up and get here." Ezra says. Chopper beeps and Rider comes rolling in with a bunch of Imperials on his tail. "Here he is, and he's been spotted!" Ezra yells. We save him and he takes us to a Lothal Rebel Base. "A Bridgers, its good to have you back." Says Mr. Suma. He gives me a hug. "My you have grown!" He says. Kanan explains the plan to get us in. Here we go.

Time Skip

We stand at attention at the Imperial Factory. Boy how I remembered this place. A lady and two storm troopers appreared along with Alex. My breath caught for a second. He wouldn't give us up would he. "Agent Kallus, will you make sure all of the workers are accounted for?" The lady asks. "Yes govern." He says. He goes through everyone and pauses at me. "A girl at the factory? Are you sure you will be able to handle the work?" He asks. He knew it was me. I roll my eyes, but only he could see. "Yes sir!" I shout. "Very well." He says and continues. "Look sharp everybody. This Factory has been honored with a surprise visit from Imperial high command." He shouts. Thrawn walks into the room. "Oh great." I mutter so no one could hear me. "Thank you for the introduction Agent Kallus, my visit is not an honor however, an investigation." He says. I curse inside my head. Out of all the days! "Vehicles assembled in this factory malfunction at a rate much higher than that of others. I have reason to believe your craftsmanship is to blame. This will not be tolerated." He pauses and looks around. "Worker 5473 you were pressed into the Empire's service?" Thrawn asks Mr, Suma. "Yes sir, after loosing my farm." He answers. "Do you stand by your work?" He asks. "I do." He says. "This 62488 is the last bike you personally inspected will you show us how fast it can go, we don't have all day." Mr. Suma brings it to its full speed and is killed. I gasp and Alex looks at me worried. "Now that I have your attention know this. Everything you build here you will test personally. I expect your malfunction rate to drop substantially." He says. I look at Alex. "Help us." I mouth out. He gives me a small nod. That was all I needed. They put the factory on full lock down. We escape thanks to Chopper.

"Now let's go find that weapon." Ezra says. "Well thanks to what Rider said I think section A2 is a good place to start." Kanan says as we run through the halls. "Not like this, the workers are on lockdown remember." I say. We run into some Storm troopers and Ezra and Kanan took their uniforms. I just slipped out of the workers gear since I had my clothes on under it, changed into a laides officer gear and used the Jedi mind trick on anyone we passed that didn't recognize me.  A lot of fun actually. I hoped Alex came through. We got a clearance code from a droid and got Chopper into the data-base to find section A2 and what they are doing. Troopers come around the corner and Ezra pushes me into a separate hallway and I couldn't hear the conversation. They come running around the corner and Kanan grabs my arm. "Let's go!" He yells as troopers start to chase us. We open an elevator. Inside was Alex. Yes! "You three come with me to secure the perimeter." He says, specifically looking at me. We get into the elevator as the troopers come around the corner and the door closes. "Freeze Rebels." Alex says trying to scare us. I forgot that Ezra and Kanan didn't know the secret about Alex and start pounding on him. "Wait, guys!" I yell, but they don't listen. "Listen to me, I am Fulcrum." He says. Ezra starts laughing. "Yeah, right." He says. "You want us to believe that?" Kanan asks. "By the light of Lothal's moons." He says. Ezra and Kanan take off there helmet and I smirk. The boys were aw struck. "The code phrase, he's fulcrum?!" Ezra says. "Yes, he is, now get off him." I say pulling Kanan off of Alex. "Your friend Zeb and Emily trusted be on the ice moon, I saved Sabine Wren at the fighter academy and now I'm trying to save you, but you have to trust me!" Alex shouts. Chopper beeps. "Your droid trust me." Alex says. "Yeah, that's not exactly a good thing." Ezra says. "I trust him." I say finally shoving my way past Kanan. "What, you?" Ezra asks. "Yes, and you trust me. Shouldn't that be enough?" I ask. "Fine, if you want to help us so bad, we need to get a signal to our friends." Kanan says. "Then we have to move quickly." He says.

We were walking down a hallway. "How did you know it was us?" Ezra asks. "You know, in the helmets and all." He says. Alex rolls his eyes. "Please, Emily is more familiar in that to me than her Rebel gear." He says. "What do you mean?" Kanan asks. "Al-Agent Kallus and I worked together at this Factory for years, I almost forgot how uncomfortable these uniforms were." I say tugging at my sleeve. Alex laughs. "It's been awhile hasn't it?" He asks. "Boy, has it." I say looking back at him. Ezra looks for him, to me, to him, to me. "This is so weird." He breaths out. I laugh. 

We enter a room and start shooting at him, missing on purpose. "Watch out, they're Rebels!" He yells as we shoot the other people down Chopper gets into the data-banks. "Thank you so much Alex." I say giving him a hug. "Any time Emily, see you soon." He says. I back up and he goes flying through a glass screen. "Ezra!" Both Kanan and I yell. "What? That was convincing." He says. "Yeah, but I wanted to do it." Kanan says. I hit them both and we run before reinforcements arrive. We escape thanks to Rider and arrive back on the Ghost. 

We called the rest of the fleet and learned of the new TIE. "How did you get past Thrawn with these plans, someone's loosing more than just there jobs for that." Hera says. "I guess we have Agent Kallus to thank for that, he knew Fulcrum's code phrase." Kanan says. "Wait, Kallus, is Fulcrum!" Sabine yells. "Dang it we must of recruited him." Zeb says. "While you were on that ice moon?" Ezra asks. "Not exactly." I say rubbing the back of my neck. "What?" Hera says giving me a very mother like look. "Well, I might have been in contact with him ever since I left the Factory." I say sheepishly all while Zeb was going "uh-uh" behind everyone. "What?!" Everyone yells. "You knew about this?!" Hera asks Zeb. "I figured it out on the ice moon." He says. "Don't blame him, we had to keep it a secret, if anyone found out he could be compromised." I say. Kanan sighs. "She's right, and if what she says is true he has given very valuble information to the Rebelion." He says. I sigh in relief. "But, if you go off keeping that big of a secret from us again, there will be consequences." He says. He sounded like a dad, both Zeb and I nod. "So any more secerts you would like to share?" Hera asks. "No." I tell her, I couldn't tell her the rest. "What about you Zeb?" She asks. "None." Zeb says I couldn't believe it, he lied to his family just so I could keep secerts from them.

When we arrived back on the base I found him in his room. "Hey Zeb?" I ask. "Yeah?" He asks. "Thank you, for keeping my secert. It means everything to me." I say. "Yeah, well, its like you said to him on the ice moon. We have all lost family thanks to the Empire, but that we were fighting to keep that from happening to anyone else. Well Kallus is your family, whether I like it or not, and I made a promise as a Rebel to defend that, and I made a promise to you that a would keep it a secret." He says. I hug him. "That's really sweet Zeb." I say. "Yeah, well, you better keep that a secret." He says. "Deal." I says shaking his hand.
