Low Houses are houses that control a noteable amount of land that is not overlorded by a High House. These are usually islands or peninsulas of land. However they still answer to the King/Queen.
Low Houses were created by an unknown person approximately three and a half thousand years ago, during the Fall Century.
Currently there is only one Low House. It is the Low House of Thaon. All other Low Houses were destroyed (due to their land being taken by High Houses) just over a hundred years ago during the late Destiny Century and first couple of years of the Prosperity Century, when House Vaughan was the Royal House.
