Chapter 1: Old Wounds

The guild hall resumed talking and brushed off the youngsters silence.

Lance stood up and grabbed a job request from the board. He wrinkled it in his hand slightly not caring what the reward was. He just wanted to leave the guild hall. Lance put it down on the table and looked up.

"Anyone wanna come with?" He asked standing up straight shoving his hands in his pockets.

"I'd rather not risk getting a hole blown through me again," Nash murmured.

Lance's ears perked up as he clearly heard what Nash said.

"That was your own decision. I've already apologized more times than I can count," Lance replied back now gripping his hands on the table.

"Well if you hadn't let your emotions get the best of you he wouldn't have had to make that decision in the first place," Reiki cut in now standing up.

Storm stood up and stepped between Lance and Nash.

"Cmon guys, it's already hard enough as it is. Let's not make a scene and try and-" Storm shakingly said before being cut off by Rosemary abruptly getting up.

"You can't talk. Stop trying to make this better. If you think calming them down will make us forgive you for putting a hole through your own brother, you're fairly mistaken," Rosemary stated glaring at Storm.

Luna and Sylvia exchanged glances and nodded knowing what to do. They stood up and stepped between the argument.

"Hey, let's not argue again. Let's all just go and be the friends that the guild knows we are," Luna said in a positive tone.

"Yeah, we don't have to fight again. We've done that already," Sylvia added.

They mumbled between each other and stood up dispersing around the guild hall.

Sylvia sighed onto Luna's shoulder leaning into her. Luna rubbed her forehead and patted Sylvia's shoulder caringly.

"The hate between them is just like it was during the war. It's like if nothing has changed. The war isn't over..." Luna said in a low tone.

"Rosemary hates Storm, Rin forgives Storm but I know for a fact that he still hasn't fully moved on from the fact he died," Sylvia listed with a small grimace.

"Akatsuki and Lance hate each other more than ever now."

"Nova and Gale are doing their best to build up their strong relationship which was broken during the war."

"Reiki and Nash have issues with almost everyone. They came out the most affected out of everyone," Luna finished looking over at Nash and Reiki who quietly spoke to each other in a table across the guild hall.

Sylvia looked at Storm who was drinking with Gale and Nova.

"I'm worried about Storm too..." Sylvia said in a worrisome tone.

"You feel it too huh?" Luna replied crossing her arms.

"He can't control it. He's not asking for help either. It's starting to worry me. He wears long sleeved clothing more and doesn't strip as often," Sylvia responded to Luna's comment.

"The black is starting to taint his body physically. I'm just as worried..." Luna stated with a sigh.

Sylvia gave Luna one more hug before walking towards the exit of the guild hall.

"I'm gonna see Suki. Keep things here under control for me?" Sylvia asked before waving goodbye.

Luna nodded and waved back. Her attention immediately went towards Reiki and Nash.

What are they talking about...?

"You wanna come over today? I'm pretty sure Luna is staying over with Storm," Nash asked Reiki reaching for his hand.

Reiki's eyes widened remembering what happens every night. He abruptly moved his hand back and shook his head.

"Ah sorry, I agreed to be with Rose today. You know she uh... has difficulty with what happened and stuff..." Reiki stated rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

Nash eyed Reiki strangely but nodded solemnly.

Something isn't right...
