Chapter 4 - The Troubling Call

Vegeta's p.o.v

~The Next Day~

 we took Ashley to head start since it was her first day of starting school. She had 4 hours of school, which to me was okay but for kakarot it was to much. It was about almost time to pick her up so I spent most of the time cleaning the kitchen. I kept cleaning until kakarot came in. "I just got an voicemail from the school" he says in a nervous manner and tone. "And what's the call about?" I say in curiosity. He puts the phone on the counter and puts speaker on.

The voicemail: "Hello there the parents of Ashley! I sent this to inform you that your child got in trouble for doing something bad. She started hitting other students and throwing stuff at everyone. We told her instructions but she wouldn't listen. I just wanted to inform you about her actions today. I'll email again if it doesn't stop. Y'all have a nice day! *End of voicemail*

Goku's p.o.v

On the look of vegeta's face was filled with anger. He looked like he needed to punch something. I was absolutely terrified. I didn't even wanna say something until he spoke. "It's about time we pick her up." He said in an angry tone. "O-okay vegeta" I say as I grab the car keys and head out the door. He gets into the car with his arms crossed not even looking at me. After maybe about 10 Minutes I park into the parking lot and get out of the car, along with vegeta at my side. "let's just hurry up and get her." He says walking. Once we reach her class we enter and see her sitting on a chair, in the corner of the class room. She looks at us, but when she does vegeta, gives her the deadliest look ever. She widens her eyes and looks away really fast. "Vegeta calm down she's just a child..." I say trying to calm him down. "I don't give a damn if she's a child she shouldn't be acting like this in the first place kakarot!" He says angry. Once all the kids leave we sit down with the teacher. Vegeta keeps his eyes locked on Ashley who is not looking at us. Ashley's teacher talks about how she was acting all, day which I could say....Was truly surprising..She had never acted like this. Maybe it's because she knows Vegeta would do something about it. Once we were done talking with the teacher, we got up and walked over to Ashley, who still didn't even look at either one of us. I felt pretty bad for her because, vegeta is a guy you don't wanna get mad because there would be consequences. Vegeta knees down beside her. "Look at me Ashley" he says still in the angry tone. She doesn't look but looks the other way. "Ashley im giving you 5 seconds to look at me. 1....2....3". She looks at him with tears in her eyes. "Vegeta can't we just wait until we are home instead of doing this at her school?" I say trying to calm him. "Fine."  He grabs Ashley and holds her as we walk out of the classroom and to the car. She still wouldn't look at us when we were driving home. Once we got home, I opened the door to the house and the worst decision happens. Ashley decides to run from vegeta. "Come back here!!" He yells. She runs under our bed in order for vegeta to not to grab her. He eventually does, he Catches her leg and sits her onto the bed. She starts crying because she was scared of what was going to happen. Vegeta looks her dead in the eyes..

Vegeta's p.o.v

I look at Ashley who doesn't look at me. Instead she looks down while crying to avoid eye contact with me. I grab her chin and make her look at me. She continues to cry. I didn't really feel bad because she should know not to act like this because she knows that I would be mad. "Look at me Ashley." I tell her in a very rude manner. She doesn't look but instead she closes her eyes. "LOOK AT ME ASHLEY OR I WILL MAKE YOU". She opens her eyes and looks at me with tears running down her face. "Why were you acting like this?!". "Vegeta calm down there is no need to shout" Kakarot says. "I will not calm down and I can shout because she shouldn't be misbehaving!!!". She cries more from the shouting. Kakarot grabs her and she buries her face into his chest so she wouldn't have to look at me. "Fine. I say as I walk away into the living room. I decide to sit on the couch and calm myself down. So I turn on the t.v and look for a show to watch.

~45 Minutes later~

Goku's p.o.v

I play with Ashley trying to keep her quiet because she was still crying about the incident with vegeta . I told her that it would be alright and that vegeta was just mad but he would get over it pretty soon. I decided to take a shower and let Ashley stay in the room and play with her stuffed animals and wait until I came back. She Plays with her stuffed animals and waits.

Vegeta's p.o.v

I was watching tv until I hear little footsteps. I knew right at the moment that it was Ashley, because kakarot has just gotten into the shower. I turn my head to the side and see her looking at me with her huge black orbs. She was terrified that I would get up and chase her.  I continue to look at her as she walks slowly towards me. I look at the t.v pretending I don't notice that she's close to me. She climbs the couch and sits next to me but still looking at me. I look down at her and see that she was wanting to give me her stuffed animal, the one I brought her on her birthday. I hold the animal and watch as she sits down on my legs that were on the couch. She smiles. I smile back at her because, I wasn't gonna be mad at her forever. I grab her and pull her into a hug. She laughs. I loved this little girl but sometimes I just want her to listen. Who knows what trouble she could cause..?
