A Warning...?

Kim Hiyori's P.O.V

My body seems to have gone into a state of paralysis as I stand there, three pairs of sharp and calculating eyes staring at me. The man named Minseok had greeted the two other men, Han and Junmyeon, quite rudely and it didn't seem to faze or surprise them, so I'm guessing they have a close-knit relationship.

"Let's go to the library." The shorter of the two newcomers suggests, smart eyes looking at me with both suspicion and curiosity. "There are too many open ears here." All three of the men nod, turning on their heels and starting to walk towards the grand doors that separate this ballroom from the seemingly endless hallways outside.

"You had better follow us, unless you want Father to get his men to send you to the dungeon." Minseok says coldly, not turning to look back at me. My mouth hangs open slightly, my eyes widened as I stand there for a moment. I snap out of it when I realize they were already at the door, running to them as quickly as I can in heels without tripping and falling on my face.

I reach them quickly, looking at their slightly annoyed expressions. Gee, sorry! I think to myself angrily. It's not my fault that you suddenly up and left me! It doesn't help that you all have longer legs than me either, or that you're not seen as a criminal in this damn place!

While I'm silently planning the murders of the three men in front of me, Minseok grabs my wrist and starts walking. I notice that they're walking at a slightly slower and calmer pace than before, allowing me to more easily stay with them.

"So, Minseok." The man with light auburn hair begins, looking back at us as he walks ahead of us. "You must be in a really tricky spot if you're asking your younger brothers for help." His voice sounds angelic, but there is a hint of mischief and mockery in his current tone.

"I guess you could say that." Minseok grunts in both annoyance and thoughtfulness, glancing down at me. "I think I've found something that could signal the disruption of the peace and balance of Miridia."

This seems to catch the full attention of both males as they snap their heads to look at me closely, surprising me they didn't break their necks with how fast they turned. I lower my gaze to the floor as we walk, soon reaching a large library. It's about as big as a football field, filled to the brim with shelfs upon shelfs which are stuffed with books. There are a few desks scattered in the middle of the room, a chandelier hanging over the top of them to provide light to whoever decides to use them. Minseok lets go of my wrist as we enter, closing the door once everyone is inside.

"I'll get straight to the point." Minseok's voice fills the silent room. "This woman, Kim Hiyori, isn't a person of Miridia, but is a human from the planet Earth." He sits down at one of the desks, putting his feet on top of the desk as he looks at the other two men.

"What?!" The taller man exclaims, doe eyes widening. "There hasn't been a human here in at least a thousand years, AT LEAST! The last time there was, a war between the worlds had started and lasted for about two hundred years! It's impossible for her to be here so soon!" His voice is shaky, eyes showing a very strong emotion. Fear. He's scared of a human being here.

"Han, calm down." The other man says, placing a comforting hand on the others shoulder. "Even if there is a war coming, we'll be more prepared this time." This doesn't seem to calm the man, Han, down much though.

"It's exactly as Junmyeon says, Han. This woman may be the forewarning of a war or disruption, but that doesn't mean that we won't be prepared. The reason why I decided to talk to the both of you about this situation, instead of keeping it to myself, is because I trust you and your judgments. Even though you are younger than me, you both are extremely intelligent and critical when it comes to detail in information. That's why I need your help in finding out if this woman is related to Kirishima Kaito in some way." Minseok says calmly, voice demanding attention.

I stay silent, my brows slightly furrowed because of this massive information dump. There was a war a thousand years ago? A human was the warning of the war? They also said they would be prepared this time. Were they not ready for the last war? And Han also said that the war had lasted two hundred years! If they had a warning about an oncoming war, then why were they not prepared? Did they not believe that there would be a war? And who is Kirishima Kaito? The person who warned them about the last war...?

I start to feel dizzy all of a sudden, probably because I was thinking too hard. I sit down at one of the desks, resting my head in my hands as I take deep breaths. I block out whatever the others are saying, a headache quickly joining my dizziness. I groan softly, scrunching my eyes closed because of the throbbing pain inside of my skull.

Kim Minseok's P.O.V

My brothers and I were discussing how Hiyori would have gotten to Miridia, when all of a sudden, we here a soft groan. We all turn our heads to see her with her head in her hands, face scrunched up in pain.

"Hey, what's wrong with you?" I ask, staring at her while waiting for an answer. I wait for a few moments longer before realizing that I won't get an answer. I sigh loudly, standing from my seat and walking towards her. "Hey! I asked you a question!" I say with a slightly raised voice. Again, she doesn't answer. I scoff and push her shoulder gently, her head falling onto the desk. I frown, turning her head so that I can peer into her face.

"Minseok, what's wrong with her?" Junmyeon asks, coming up behind me to look over my shoulder at her.

"It looks like she fell asleep." I sigh loudly, looking back at him. "We'll talk more tomorrow. I'm going home for now, so I'll take her with me. Come to my palace tomorrow around 11am." They both nod, walking out of the library after glancing down at the sleeping figure. I pick Hiyori up carefully, not wanting to wake her as I walk out of the library and towards the front doors of my father's palace.

She's incredibly light as I carry her, her light brown hair falling into her face. I gently brush the hair away from her eyes and tuck it behind her ear. I shake my head slowly, looking down at her sleeping form. "You seem like you're going to be a load of trouble." I mumble. I grasp the door handle, pulling the door open to reveal an almost blinding light. I step through it, feeling my body become weightless for a moment before I arrive at my destination. Home sweet home. I think to myself bitterly, already feeling the difference in temperature. Curse this damn cold.
