Hiro stared sullenly out his window. He had left Sora all alone and may not be able to get back to him until the morning.  He hoped Sora had fallen asleep with ease, without too much pain. He had only known Sora for about two days, but for some reason, he had never felt such a strong bond before, it was quite frightening.

"I better take a quick shower"-hiro said. So he quickly grabbed a towel and walked into the bathroom. He slowly took off his shirt, pants, and underwear, throwing it into the hamper. He quickly examined himself just in case he acquired any bruises on his way home.

Hiro walked into the shower and hugged himself tightly, as if he was trying to protect himself. He was so confused, he was so frustrated. He wanted to help Sora, but how?

Hiro got out of the shower and put his pajamas on, he will figure out what's wrong with Sora, even if it takes him forever "I am going to help you Sora, i just hope you are not suffering."

Hiro got into bed and closed his eyes, dreaming about a forest full of angels. Oh, how he wished to be there with them...forever.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Hiro, Hir-o" Hiro got up quickly, he smelled something burning. "Hiro grab your stuff and come down here, now!!" Hiro grabbed his backpack and his pocket knife and ran downstairs. The house was on fire. He could see the smoke coming from the outside. " Hiro you must leave now, this i believe, is no mere accident. We must go, now." Hiro's mom grabbed his shoulders and pulled him in for a hug. Don't worry we will both get out of here. Come on now!!" So they began to run, and run, and run.

Hiro came to a halt, he looked at the little desk near the couch, on it stood a photo of his father. Hiro was about to grab it, when a beam suddenly began falling.

Hiro stood paralyzed, he tried to move, but his legs wouldn't budge. Suddenly he was pushed very hard and he came back to reality. His mom-she was stuck under a beam. Hiro ran over to her and began lifting the beam. " Mom, stay with me, I can get you out." He yelled. " Hiro there is no time, leave me her. But, there is one thing you must know, I am not your real mother. My husband is not your real father. We took you in when you were about one year of age. You were so small, and so adorable. So we kept you for ourselves and decided to never tell you the truth. I'm so sorry Hiro." Tears began coming out of her eyes, "I'm so sorry."

Hiro stared at her for a moment, she had lied to him, they had all lied to him! Hiro ran, and never ever looked back again.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sora sat patiently, waiting for Hiro to return. He couldn't quite understand what had just happened to him. He also felt a bit itchy around his neck.

"Come on Hiro, come back to me." He sighed, knowing that Hiro would not return until morning. He wished at least that Hiro could have brought him some food. He was intensely craving, pancakes lady's food, she was an incredible cook.

Sora gazed out the window of the shed, the stars were so beautiful tonight, he longed to touch one, to feel it's warmth. To experience its life, to experience it's freedom.

Sora began dozing of suddenly, "I want to be free." He whispered to himself, "Let me be free."

Sora couldn't have been sleeping for more than twenty minutes, when Hiro burst in through the door, he looked so frail, he had such a sad gaze in his eyes. He came over to Sora, got down on his knees and put his head on Sora's lap.

Sora was completely startled, "Hiro what the hell is going on! Are you hurt?" He grabbed Sora's arm and pulled him into a hug. " I'm here for you Hiro, I will protect you." He looked at Hiro's precious eyes as he said this. Conveying as much emotion as possible. "Sora, we must leave, grab your things. The house is on fire. Please listen to me, we must leave!"

Sora jumped up and picked the boy up. Hiro did not seem to mind being carried around. Sora picked up his medicine and ran out of the shed. Hiro was telling the truth, the house was burning to the ground. The fire, like some horrible monster, continued growing and growing. Sora did not have the energy or time to let this fire out. So instead he wiped away the tears from Hiro's pale face, and ran back into the dark forest.

Hiro was standing in the forest, he could see his house along the edge

Hiro was standing in the forest, he could see his house along the edge. But there was something wrong, the house, was shrinking. "Hiro, please help me!" Hiro turned around, it was his mom, but she was dying. He went up to her and hugged her tightly. He was hoping she would hug him back, but instead she said something horrible to him, something that would bother him for the rest of his life. "You bastard, Hiro you are no son of mine you killer!"

Hiro began crying. She was right, it was his fault she was dead, it was all his fault.

Suddenly, Hiro felt someone kissing his forehead. Was it his mother? He looked up and saw a familiar face. It was not her, instead it was a boy with strange eyes. It was Sora.

Hiro jumped up and grabbed Sora, tightly on the waist. He was not going to let anyone die for him anymore, he would not let anyone slip from his hands anymore.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sora looked at the strange boy hugging him, his own face began turning a slight shade of purple. "Um, Hiro would you mind getting off of me, you're still injured and should stay in a laying position. He watched as the pale boy got back in bed and put the covers over himself as he whispered. "Sora, my mom is dead and it's all my fault." Sora, stood there completely shocked, Hiro had watched his mother die didn't he. " Sora got up and walked up to Hiro's bed. " Hiro, I don't know too much about you, but what I know for sure is that you did not kill your mother." He got on the bed and lay down gently, so that he lay staring at Hiro's face.

Sora put his hand on Hiro's wet cheek and sighed. Hiro's mother was dead. Hiro did not have any more family. The only other person that Hiro now had, was no one other than him-Sora.

And so, as tired as they were from the previous night. The two boys drifted off into a heavy slumber.
