Sora stared at the limp body as it hit the ground. The wind bit at his ears, carrying the cries of loss, despair, and death. The forest felt lifeless in that moment, as if every creature had run away.
Sora understood if that was so.
What he just witnessed was beyond what a simple mind could configure.
Hiro was there. He knew Hiro was there.
But at the same time, it was as if he was not.

Sora looked over at Ayako who was leaning against a tree gasping for air. The impact must have hit her hard as well. "Are you alright, I'm so sorry to be causing you this much trouble." He sighed in despair. They would have to bring Hiro to the old mage as soon as possible. Who knew what could happen to Hiro if they waited even a moment.
"Open up a portal Ayako, we better leave!" Sora yelled through gritted teeth.
Ayako simply nodded her head in response and began chanting. Sora at that time looked around the forest to make sure there was nothing suspicious going on after what just happened. Unfortunately, his assumption, as always was absolutely accurate. The impact of Hiro's magic awakening was too much for this poor land to handle. "Ayako, take Hiro's body and go through the portal, leave it open for me, there's some business I have to take care of."
At first Ayako was shocked at what he said, but then her anger subdued. After all, even she understood that he was the guardian of this forest and it was his duty to protect it and care for it. So instead of yelling like usual, Ayako gave Sora a sad smile and gave him a word of advice, " You better come back alive!" She growled and jumped through the portal with the frail body in her arms.
"I will," Sora quietly responded. "As long as Hiro is alive there is not reason for me to die yet!!"

Sora was an angel of the forest and it was his job to protect it no matter what. So that's why rather then going through the portal with Ayako and Hiro, he decided to stay behind and make sure the forest was in good shape after such an uncanny event.
Sora took out his mana tracker from his jacket pocket. He was given this instrument by his father at the mere age of 8. He was told to keep it safe and was trained to use it probably. This little toy would tell him for sure if there was any suspicious activity going on.
As Sora suspected, the device began going off as soon as he stepped in close proximity to the willow tree that Hiro bonded with. Unfortunately, during the event multiple branches of the tree were thrown around in great distances apart in the forest and Sora would be forced to collect them all since it wasn't safe to keep items tainted by magic in close proximity to humans.
"Uh Hiro, no matter how cute you can be sometimes. You sure do cause me pain." Sora whispered as he surveyed how much work he would need to get done in order to get the forest back in proper order.
Sora's been walking around gathering branches for about an hour now. At least this is all I must do, he thought. Sora suddenly heard a tune, it felt similar to one from his childhood.
