The next morning I woke up in total disgust of my fur. Where the smaller humans played and the bigger ones watched them, there was a little water park. It spurted water from the ground into the air. Maybe that can get this smell off me. I waited for the huge blocks to pass by and ran across at the right time. Kinda...
*HONK* *HONK* "Get out of the way, mutt!" A fussy women yelled slamming her hand on the outer side of her huge block. I am not even a mutt! Ugh... Well, kinda. I am actually. My owner took me to the disgusting vet. They said I was eighty-five percent wolf and fifteen... hmm, what was it? Oh yes fifteen percent husky. So, yes... I am a mutt. Not the point though!
I ran over to the sprouting water. "Doggy!" A wobbling toddler hollered. "Get away from that- thing!" A older human yelled at her toddler. "It's so cute!" A little boy said running toward me. Yay! Maybe it's my new owner! I licked the boy all over his face and gathered all my smell on him. Then I felt a harsh kick on my hip. "Get the hell out of here, disgusting dog!" A tall, tall man yelled, spit flew out of his mouth onto my fur.
I think I should go... I ran threw the sprouting water fountains and barely got the smell off. I ran into the forest, farther, and farther. Far as I could go. Thinking about my owner. Maybe she came back. I gathered myself on top of a tall hill. You could see the dumpster I was at, buildings by it, the playground. What if she was waiting for me?
I climbed farther up the hill. I could see a good part of the town. "Oh my owner... she must be worried, she must be crying, I need to go back to the house, maybe she is there. " I said with a long, loud whine. All of the sudden I was pushed down the mountain, backwards! I can't see the town now! My head went back and forth, back and forth. I tried stopping myself, but I couldn't.
Finally, I fell as far as I could. I looked left, right. Then up. At the top of the hill was a black wolf with yellow eyes. ... ... I'm gonna die. I scrambled to my feet as quick as I could. He was sprinting down the hill after me. Gladly I wasn't to hurt from the huge fall. I started running up a different hill. But... he was catching up. Like really quick. He doesn't even look out of breath! I'm so exhausted! Then he pushed me to the ground.
"Stop running!" He said with a low growl pinning me to the ground. "Why! I don't know you!" I whimpered trying to wiggle out. "You cant be all whiny and howling on the top of the hill, do you know how mad alpha would be!?" He said with a stronger growl. "What!? Were you not listening, I don't know you, I don't know of a alpha!" I stated with a low growl wiggling out from his paw. I stood up to see that he was much, oh so very, tall. "What... do you mean? A wolf isn't a humans pet. That's rare." He said confused, he didn't seem to believe it either. "Are you from the other packs!" He said pinning his ears back.
"I don't know what you mean! And I do live in the city!" I stated stepping back. "Hmmm... you do have a weird smell." He said sniffing the rosy smell of my old house mixed with the sour drink. "Come, I will take you to alpha." He said slowly walking the other way, waiting for me to follow along. "I don't want to meet this Alpha, even if I did, I don't want to be a pack puppet!" I growled catching up to stand in front of him.
"We don't have puppets." He said pushing threw me. "I said I don't want to go!" I growled. "Your coming." He turned his head viciously, showing his sharp teeth. I followed behind. We walked for a while. The sun was falling down. "Were here, now, don't do anything stupid, don't say anything about human things. Okay, got it?" He said stopping me before the grand entrance of trees. "But"- "Listen to me, nothing about humans, no buts, and no butts either!" He said as he almost came out of his maturity with the last line. "Funny, bu- I mean, what if I want to talk about the city." I stated.
"Just don't mention it!" He growled. "Lets go, now." He stated pushing me into the grand entrance. Lots of wolves. Of all colors, black, white, red, multi-colored, brown. A few wolves noticed me. Some didn't and walked around, doing their business. We walked down a long path, wolves started to gather around. I started to feel my heart beat. I am so dead. They're going to eat me. I'm going to be eaten. It's positive. Then a tall, strong wolf climbed on top of his very high, big rock. He stood on top of it. Another wolf, a female, she was red stood beside him.
"I must go talk to Alpha, you stay here, and answer his questions, remember what I told you about!" The male that brought me here stated as he walked up the rocks by the Alpha's cave, and stood by Alpha on the standing rock. What is he saying? He was muttering something to the Alpha, the Alpha gave a long nod. The male that brought me stood by Alpha as another wolf stood by him. A female, multi-colored.
"Hello new one. We have a few questions for you, to approve you into the pack." He stated firmly, strong, and loud. I didn't even want to join the pack though! I wanted to burst it out, but I remembered what the wolf I met told me. I am not a full wolf either. Only eighty-five percent wolf..., would they even approve of that. Would they notice?
"So... where do you come from?" I am assuming was the female alpha. The wolf I met earlier had a nervous look on his face, a queasy one. Wait, is he the Deputy! The wolf I met earlier, I can't mess this up now, but the alpha will catch onto my lies! What do I do?!
