I went to bed that night. Well today wasn't that bad...

I was dreaming, dreaming of Zues. But why? Why him? Then a strong tug hit me like a bell on my neck. "Argh!" I yelped scrambling to my feet. My omega friend was awoken by another wolf too. The wolf that tugged on me was the one who stood by Zues on the rocks, ... Luna. "Oh your, Zues's mate right?" I said tilting my head with tired eyes. "Yes, deputy female, not the point Lilac, Zues said to meet him by the lake for your training." Luna stated firmly with a sassy swish of her tail as she walked away.

I don't know where the lake is.... She left, for me to have no response. I walked out of the cave, the blazing sun hit me in the face. I walked around the territory. Farther by the back was the lake. I could see his black fur shining in the sun, and his beaming yellow eyes. Oh he is just so...- wait what am I saying?! Do I like the deputy?! I stopped myself, and stood there. I can't, he has a mate. She would kill me! "Come on Lilac, stop standing there!" Zues hollered. "Oh- yeah coming..." I stated as I started walking again.

"Ready for training?!" Zues said wagging his tail. "Yeah, what are we going to do?" I said tilting my head. "Today, were going hunting." He stated as he tugged me along farther into the forest. "Ugh... okay, stop tugging, I am following." I stated. "Okay, well far enough." Zues stated as his ears were stretched more higher than usual. "What are you doing?" I whispered in confusion looking back and forth in the forest and at him. "Ugh-- I am making my ears more alert of any noises, for prey." Zues stated crouching down to the floor. "Oh..- right, I knew that..." I mumbled as I crouched down beside him.

"Ah see, that rabbit, show me what you've got!" Zues stated as he gathered his breath. I don't have really, much to show at all...  I don't even know how to hunt! "O-okay, right, yeah, on it, totally..., got this." I stated as I pushed myself farther down. It was a little ways away. So I will... just do a long pounce? I pounced at the rabbit that was about five meters away. I didn't come close to it. It ran away when I was in mid-air. I fell flat on my stomach. Humiliating. "Yeah... we've got to work on that. -- When your hunting don't just pounce at it, crawl as close as possible to where they don't see you. And where you can still get a good pounce. You must be quiet the whole time." Zues stated firmly, as he demonstrated with a squirrel. He carried it by planting it softly in his mouth.

"Oh- okay!" I stated wagging my tail. "Now, this part of the forest is aware of us from your loud pounce. Lets move a little farther into the forest." Zues stated as he nodded and headed into a direction with the squirrel in his mouth, I followed by his side. "So your deputy?" I questioned, even though I already knew the answer. "Yes." Zues stated as we walked threw the forest. "Why didn't you tell me that before the whole- Alpha thing." I said tilting my head in confusion. "I didn't want you to just be all friendly and sweet cause I had power in a pack. I didn't want to chase you off either." Zues stated as we walked by more and more trees.

"Well - I would have had the same attitude even if I knew that." I said knowing that couldn't be completely true. "Okay... maybe not." I laughed as he gave a small laugh back. "Interest, in anyone in the pack?" Zues stated as he put his head down. "Well, being that I am a omega, and you shouldn't talk to me. No one to really be friends with besides the other omega, Aries." I said with a lower voice. "No, I mean, like - Interest, - males." He said. Well obviously. HIM. But I can't say that. But I don't want to lie either...

"Ah- Yes." I said with a nervous grin. "Who?" He questioned, tilting his head. Oh gosh, what do I say? "Oh-. . . That is a secret. For me to keep." I stated with a laugh. "Well. I will eventually figure that out. But in the meantime, I am tired of carrying this squirrel. Alpha told me not but, you should have this, you practically have no food." He said with a smile, wagging his tail, he dropped it by my paws as we stopped walking. "Really? -- Well. Thank, you!" I said with a smile in disbelief, but it was no lie, he was giving it to me. I gobbled it up. I've never had meat. I was fed wet dog food almost all the time.

It tasted, amazing! "You sure are hungry." He said with a laugh. "Oh - sorry, I haven't eaten meat before, I haven't eaten in a while." I said once I happily finished the squirrel to the bones. "Well, lets keep walking." He said throwing the bones to the side. "Why throw the bones?" I said questioningly. "Well, see, the other packs, if they see bones in the forest. They assume our pack took them from 'their territory'. So yeah, its kinda hard to explain." He said firmly. "I understand." I stated as we came into a opening, it had a decent sized. Pretty big actually. It was more like a big river. Cut down the middle. For miles. "That is a different packs territory. They even have vampires." Zues stated, thinking I would think in disbelief. "Really?" Once I did think.

"Yes, you probably will see one eventually, at night. They cause a lot of trouble." Zues said firmly. "So why bring us here." I laughed. "To show you. To never cross the river." Zues stated. "I don't even think I could swim across the current." I laughed. All the sudden we heard snaps of twigs and branches. Something, from the other side of the river.
