Ever since the girls in my cabin found out I was in a prophesy, things have been a lot different.
In the cafeteria when i'm about to sit down at at my assigned table, everyone stands up so I can have my first choice where to sit.
The other girls always let me have the first shower and they run at my pace during exercise.
I've never really come to understand why they do these things. I mean, I'm just a random girl who's wristband number just happened to how up in a prophesy!
The whole prophesy thing is probably all made up anyway. I mean, do they really expect me to lead an uprising?
Apparently so because today in the Main Hall Piper said, "This is our chance to round up the others that are in the prophecy. We can't do them all today, though. The guards will get suspicious. We'll do one every day until we have then all."
"Are you guys serious?"" I asked them/
"Uh, yeah." Parker said as if her were stating the obvious.
"Okay, so we have the student number 357303 AKA Lexi, we have the smartest AKA me, and we have the fastest AKA Parker." Piper said, "All we need to do now is get the first, the strongest, and the Headmaster's daughter. I say we start with the Headmaster's daughter first. She'll be the easiest."
"How do you know she'll be easiest and why is the Headmaster's daughter even here in the first place?" I asked her.
"Well, when the school was first built and the first few students were here, his daughter saw the way the students were treated and wanted to help them. She knew that her father loved her more than anything so she committed a crime so she would get thrown in here. She hoped that her father would buckle under the pressure of putting his only child in this cruel place but, that obviously didn't work." Parker replied.
"Any more questions?" Piper asked, sounding irritated.
"Uh, yeah." I answered, "Lexi?"
"Oh... right." Piper said, "That's the nickname we gave you because Alexis sounded too formal. Do you not like it?"
"No, I do. I was just wondering." I answered.
"Welp, let's get going then." Parker said.
I followed them across the room to where Cabin 2 was. Piper and Parker led me through a maze of students, until we reached a girl with long, curly, black hair and large, brown eyes.
"Piper, what are you doing here?" The girls asked.
"Hello to you too, Rose." Piper replied, "We are here to fulfill the prophecy."
"Oh, are you?" Rose asked, "I thought we agreed to wait until 357303 was here."
"You're right, we did." Piper said, moving aside so Rose could see me.
"This is her?" Rose asked.
"Oh, it's her alright." Piper replied. She them motioned for me to show Rose my wristband, which I quickly did.
Rose tapped my screen and read my name and number. "Hmm." She hummed, "It really is you." She then turned her attention to Piper. "How many do you have?"
"Including you? Four." Piper answered.
"Which ones do you still need?" Rose asked.
"Strongest and first." Piper replied.
"Oh, no." Rose said, shaking her head.
"What?" I asked her.
"These are the students that will be almost impossible to recruit." Rose answered.
"Oh, please," I argued, "they can't be that bad. Come on, show me who the strong one is."
"She's the tall one." Piper said as she nodded towards Cabin 1.
In the midst of all of the delinquents, I saw the largest girl I'd ever seen.
She had to be at least 6 feet tall and her grey uniform could barely contain her bulging muscles. She was the deadliest-looking person I'd ever seen.
And she was staring right at me.
