The Power (Solby)

Chapter 7

Colby heard a sound coming from the other side of the hallway. It sounded joyful and rang with a bell-like clarity, making him want to be the cause of such a cheerful and beautiful sound.

Deciding to actually do something about it, the brunet got up and walked slowly to the door, wanting to hear the gorgeous laugh for as long as possible.

By the time Colby got to the door, the laughing had become a tinkling giggle, softly filling the room with the delicate sound.

Quickly making a decision, Colby knocked softly on the door, hoping he wouldn't regret it.

As soon as the door opened, the brunet froze.

In front of him was the angelic boy from earlier, Sam. On his pale face was a beautiful smile under two sparkling blue eyes. Laced in his messy hair were what appeared to be tiny suns, giving his hair a even more golden color than normal.

Colby felt himself freeze, unsure of how to react to this new development. His eyes were the only things able to move, darting around to take in the appearance of the boy in front of him.

Suddenly, the boy's light mood dropped and he started shaking, quickly shuffling backwards and crouching next to his bed.

Colby quickly followed, having no clue what was happening. He quickly took in the lights strung in the room before crouching next to Sam.

"P-Please d-don't hurt m-me!" The boy stuttered, hiding his face and curling his knees to his chest, covering his stomach.

Making a quick decision, the brunet dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around the thin boy, holding him tightly, even as Sam tensed up and started to struggle.

Eventually the blond calmed down and hugged Colby back, taking deep breaths.

Slowly, Colby pushed Sam back and looked into his eyes and smiled slightly. "Hello. My name is Colby, and I love your room."

Sam laughed slightly, wiping the tears off of his face. "It's n-nice to meet y-you... Colby..." he smiled softly, causing the brunet's heart to skip a beat. "I'm Sam."

A/N- Yes, I do know that I suck at updating and all that, but I'm going to try to get back into writing over the summer... I'm kind of struggling with school and other stuff, but thank you all for being so supportive and I know this is short, but it's an update none the less... 😂😂 (that was a run on sentence... whoops)
