A New Year's Kiss

Hi guys! Since 2018 is right around the corner, I thought I should write a Bughead oneshot on new year's! Enjoy!

Betty's POV

"You ready to go Juggie?"

I yelled down the hall from our tiny college apartment

"Yes! I'm coming!"

Jughead yelled from our room. We were on our way to a college party that Veronica, Archie, and Kevin were hosting in their college apartments, and we were late, which I'm not gonna lie, was mostly my fault, because I took too long finding the right outfit, and when I tried to get Jughead's opinion, he said that I looked beautiful in all of them, which obviously was flattering, but didn't help. Finally, I decided to go with a skin tight white skirt, and pink, sleeveless crop top, that only really showed my belly button, and lastly some white high heels, and my hair down from it's usual ponytail for once.

Jughead came out of our room, wearing his usual black skinny jeans, and his black combat boots, with a white button up shirt the hadn't quite been buttoned up all the way, so the last two buttons were undone, and the sleeves were rolled up to about his elbow. Just one look at him, and he had already made me weak in my knees.

"Wow Juggie, I never knew you could dress like this."

I teased. He smirked and replied

"You like what ya see Bets, don't ya"

Jughead's POV

I walk down the hall, and exit my bedroom, making my way towards Betty. One look at her, and she makes my throat go dry, and I don't know what to say.

"Wow Juggie, I never knew you could dress like this."

Betty teased, I smirked, and quickly replied

"You like what ya see Bets, don't ya"

She giggled and said

"I do..."

I smiled and pulled her into a hug, and in doing so, I kissed her neck, making my way up to her lips, and said

"Well then, maybe I should wear this shirt more often."

I felt her breath against my chest, then felt her giggle, and reply,

"Maybe you should..."

I released her from the hug, and smiled while saying,

"Well Betty, you look very beautiful."

She blushed and smiled while replying with

"Thank you"

Time skip~Veronica and Archie's apartment

Hi guys! Come on in!"

Veronica cheered as she opened the door to her oversized apartment, with Archie by her side.

"Hi Ronnie! Hi Arch!

Betty replied with a huge smile on her face, hugging the two people infront of her

"Hi Veronica, hey Archie"

I replied, giving both of them a hug as well.

As we got into the door, Reggie walked up to us, and offered us a drink, but Betty and I both refused, because we aren't big drinkers, and we didn't want to get drunk.

After a few hours, Veronica got everyone's attention, and announced that it was one minute until midnight, so everyone made their way into the main room, and stared at the T.V. where there was a countdown until midnight.

The clock got to 30 seconds, and that's when Veronica and Archie started to count down with the clock. Slowly, everyone else started to join in, including Betty and I. Eventually, everyone was counting down in unison.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Betty's POV

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Everyone shouted in unison, and with that, Jughead pulled me into his chest, and kissed me, while wrapping his arms around my waist. I started to kiss him back, and I slowly brought my arms up, and around his neck. There was a lot of shouting and cheering in the background, but we shut that out.

The kiss was passionate, yet sweet. We slowly pulled apart, a smile lingering on our lips

"Happy New Year Juggie"
