2. Chandler's Hall: Day 1

Chapter 2

We followed Kiesha and Kenneth to a studio. They explained what they needed us to do and how they needed us to do it.

"You'll also be opening alongside Diggy. You guys are also gonna perform with him later on in the show. Speaking of which," Kenneth said, "here he is now. Come on in Diggy!"

"Hey. Sorry I'm late. Luckily, Kiesha explained it to me over the phone while I was on my way here. So, are we gonna start rehearsing today, or is that tomorrow?" he asked.

"Today. But not now," Kiesha answered. Diggy nodded and listened to everything else they said.

After that was over, we went to Walter who showed us where we would be standing. He also went over how the mic system would be going so that if our voices crack up a bit, we should just go with it because it's just the style of the show.

Finally we got to rehearse. We started MB's first performance. Then we went on to OMG's first performance, and then to Lil Missiz's first performance. By the time we finished the last of the first set - Diggy is in the second set - it was already 9:16 pm. We didn't leave until 9:20.

When we got back to the studio, it was already 9:50. We all arrived at the same time, which was weird. But I was happy because no one had to wait on anyone and we could go home sooner.

"Ray Ray said he could take me home, Nichole. You can go home. And get some rest!" Zonnique told me.

"Okay. Cool. I will. Bye y'all!" I was walking to my car when my phone rang.

"Hello?" I asked.

"NICHOLE!! WHERE ON EARTH ARE YOU? IT'S ALMOST 10!" It was my mom.

"Mom, calm down. I'm heading home right now. Rehearsals ran a bit late. We were at Chandler's Hall, remember? Sorry I didn't call or text you to let you know."

"Oh. Okay. I'm sorry I yelled at you. I was just really worried about you. I called your phone at 9:25 but you didn't answer so I was really worried that something happened to you. Drive safely. See you when you get here. Love ya!"

"It's cool, mom. Love ya, too!" That's my mom for you. Always worried about her kids. That's one reason why I love her.

So I finally got home. My mom and sisters were up. They were watching Paranormal Activity. We all love that movie.

"Hey guys. What's up?" I questioned.

"Paranormal Activity. Dinner is in the microwave. It's tacos," mom told me. I literally ran to the kitchen. I ate the tacos without heating them up first. I was so hungry. It took me like 4 minutes to eat. Then I dashed upstairs and took a shower.

~After Shower~

"Nikki, you left your phone down here. Prince called your phone, you didn't answer, obvi, then called mine. He was wondering if you got home safely and I told him yes. He told me to tell you that you need to be at Chandler's Hall by 10:00 AM sharp. Don't bother going to the studio like today. Just go straight there." That's why I love my sister Chloe. She's only 17 but she's got my back all the time.

"Thanks, Chlo. I'll text him now. But I'mma get some rest right after. Good night guys."

"Good night!" My sisters and my mom yelled. I went up to my room, texted Princeton, and was out like a light.
