(( Daryl's POV ))

I kind of regretted letting those people into our group; especially Brandon. I didn't trust him one bit, especially around Avery. He was too cocky and confident about everything. I just didn't like him.

Rick, Glenn, Sam, Axel and I we're patrolling the perimeter, checking for any weak spots in the fence. Sam was supporting the group; he'd volunteer to do the most dangerous jobs and just anything to help us.

Walkers piled up against the chain fence, snapping their teeth at us. I held up my crowbar and stabbed one in the head, making it fall to the ground.

"What the hell are you doing?!" A female voice asked behind me. I turned to see Cathy staring at me with wide eyes.

"We have to kill the walkers," I explained. Cathy's eyes turned dark with anger.

"How could you kill them?! They're people too!" She yelled. She walked up to a lone male walker and touched its nose. "They're just... different."

I exchanged a glance with Glenn and Axel, and I could tell they were having the same thoughts as me. This woman was crazy.

Suddenly, I heard a loud snapping sound; like bones breaking. I turned around to see the chain-link fence on the ground, and hundreds of walkers shuffling towards us.

"Oh,shit!" I muttered, staring at the walkers in shock.

"Get to a vehicle!" Rick ordered. He threw his axe on the ground and ran towards the rest of the group. I ran after him, running towards Avery.

"Avery!" I yelled, looking around for her. I found her running towards me with Judith in her arms.

"Get to the bike!" I ordered, pointing towards my motorcycle. Avery nodded and started running towards my bike. I turned around and pulled out my shotgun. I shot some of the walkers that were too close to me, though it was no use. There were too many.

I slung the shotgun over my shoulder with my crossbow and followed Avery to my bike. She was already sitting on it, clutching Judith close to her.

"Hold her close," I said softly as I hopped onto the bike in front of her. I felt Avery press against me to help keep Judith safe. I started the engine and waited for Rick. The walkers were growing closer and closer by the second.

I had to get Avery and Judith out of there, even if that meant leaving the group.

Relief flooded over me as I realized the rest of the group was beginning to leave. Rick led the way in my pick-up. I kicked up the kick-stand and began following the caravan.

Rick busted through the gates and onto the dirt road that led away from the prison.

I silently prayed that everyone got out safely.

I glanced behind me as the prison disappeared from sight. A few walkers were limping after us, but they soon gave up.

I sighed and followed Rick away from the prison; our home.

We were safe there, or so we thought. Our safe haven was gone in a blink of an eye.

I felt Judith shift against my back, and I knew the baby was uncomfortable.

"Is she okay?" I asked over the engine.

"Yeah, just kinda scared... and restless." Avery answered.

I felt bad for Judith. It must've been uncomfortable for her to be squished between Avery and I on the motorcycle. But it was for her safety.

After about an hour of driving, and we knew we were far from the prison, Rick stopped the caravan. I slowed my motorcycle to a stopped and hopped off, helping Avery off after me. Rick got out of the truck and ran over to us, scooping up his daughter in his arms. Carol, Carl and Axel hopped out of the truck after him while Glenn, Maggie, Beth and Hershel got out of the Cherokee. Michonne, Lily, James, Mary, and Brandon got out of the van while Sam and Cathy got out of the pickup.
