They spent the next week closer than ever, going out to brunch every day, holding hands, and kissing in public. Tom craved her affection everywhere they went, no matter what, like he wanted to show her off, but not like she was some prize, like he was the luckiest guy in the world, she was the most beautiful girl in the world and she was his beautiful girl. Everything that she did made him think about how he couldn't live without her, but he's never tell her that, he wasn't that in touch with his sensitive side.

He didn't even know what he was feeling until they were out at dinner one night, they held hands across the table, the wind blowing in their faces, making her hair go a little crazy, which made him laugh. They looked up at the stars and Tom took a look at her, her face illuminated by the candle on the table and he skin glowed. He just looked at her and smiled and thought about the day he called her beautiful when she first started working for him, and how this moment reminded him of that one. But this time, he wasn't thinking about how beautiful she was, he was thinking about how he would love to see her face everyday for the rest of his life. It surprised him to say the least, but he kept it under lock and key, he wouldn't let himself scare her away, he didn't want to ruin what they had. She looked back at him and smiled.

"What?"

"You're just so beautiful." He smiled back, leaning over the table, pressing a slow kiss to her lips that she smiled into.

The night of the fight, Tom was anxious to say the least. He had been out all day doing interviews and pre-fight junctions with Harrison that he hadn't even seen Y/N all day. It was only an hour before his fight was supposed to start and Tom's nerves were through the roof. He convinced himself that Y/N wasn't going to show up tonight, that she had realized that she deserved better than him and left, until there was a knock at his door fifteen minutes before he was supposed to be out in the arena.

"Oh thank God you're here, I was getting worried that you le—" Tom said while opening the door, only to stop himself when he saw who was standing on the other side of the door. "M-Mum." He cried out, pulling her into a hug, tears streaming down his face. His chest was shaking as he hugged her tightly, unable to control his emotions. When he finally pulled away, his mom used her sleeve to wipe the tears from under his eyes and held his chin, just like Y/N did just eight days prior.

"Hello, my love," she smiled at him, holding in her tears.

"Mum, h-how did you, w-what, I," Tom couldn't form a coherent sentence due to the shock he was in.

"That lovely girlfriend of yours, she called a week ago, telling how much it would mean to have the family see you fight in the championship. She told me how far you've come and everything you've done for her." She smiled at Tom as he continued to cry. "I love you, Tom, more than you'll ever know."

"I love you too, Mum, so much."

"You go out there and win, okay? And don't get too hurt, Paddy's out there, you know how he gets with too much blood." She laughed and Tom's face brightened even more than before.

"Padds is here too?"

"Of course, we're all here, right in the front, again, all because of that wonderful girlfriend of yours."

"She is wonderful isn't she?" Tom said in admiration and his mom nodded before wiping her eyes and placing her hand on Tom's cheek.

"You've grown so much, Tom, I'm so proud of you." She pinched his cheek and walked out of the room without another word, and Tom knew those words were all he'd ever needed to hear.

"You ready, baby?" Y/N popped her head into Tom's room and a huge smile spread across his face.

"Of course I am. Now that you're here, my love." Tom smiled, walking to her and kissing her softly. "Thank you. For everything. You do so much for me, I don't deserve such an amazing woman."
