Taehyung

Taehyung felt awkward, he was holding the box which had the cake in it and saw Jungkook handing him the box that contained the watch they bought.

"For me? Jungkook, you shouldn't have." His brother, Hoseok chuckled as he examined the small white box and opened it to reveal the silver watch inside.

"But hyung, it's your birthday and," Jungkook chuckled a bit as he took the watch from the box and tried to place it on his brother's wrist, "I saved up for this for you. I have my job now right?" Jungkook giggled and his brother gave him a small smile.

"I know, I know," Hoseok calmly said as he placed the box back in the bag and placed it on top of the coffee table. "But you know that you should be focusing on your studies right?"

"H-He's doing well in school! I-I um." Taehyung  bit his lip as he awkwardly tried to find the right words to say, maybe it wasn't a good idea to butt into their converstation, "I-I'm Kim Taehyung, I'm Jungkook's classmate and friend and it is nice to meet you.. and uh- Happy Birthday Hoseok-Hyung." He smiled awkwardly towards them and felt uneasy at Hoseok's blank face towards him.

"Doesn't your friend know how to not butt in when other people, specifically brothers who haven't seen each other for months?" Hoseok said and Taehyung wanted to just vanish into thin air right there.

"And I didn't give you any right to address me as "Hyung" either." Hoseok's glare was the scariest thing he ever saw aside from his sister's glare.

"I-I'm sorry, Uh w-we bought you cake?" Taehyung wanted to really vanish. He just wanted for some strong wind to carry him back to Seoul.

"I'll get the plates!" Jungkook announced as he got up and disappeared into a random doorway.

There was a long silence between the two and Taehyung just wanted to make a good impression with Jungkook's brother.

Well, maybe that went down the drain and his brother probably hates him and now he's anxious if Hoseok is ever going to approve for him having the court Jungkook and might probably even crash their wedding just to not let Jungkook marry hi-

"Taehyung?" Taehyung snapped out of his negative thoughts and saw Hoseok offering him a seat.

"O-Oh, T-Thank you." He awkwardly sat down, placing the box ontop if the coffee table, observing the house.

Jungkook came back, like 5 minutes after carrying three plates with a knife and forks.
they cut the cake up and they began eating.

"By the way, Melissa wants to see you, Jungkook. Maybe you should give her a visit right now? She misses you alot." Taehyung's ears perked up and he glanced over at Jungkook who smiled and nodded at his brother's words.

"Want to come with me, Taehyung?" Jungkook asked him and Taehyung was about to run outside the seond Jungkook asked him,

But Hoseok has other plans in mind

"No, he stays here. I want to get to chat with him more." Hoseok said and it made Taehyung uneasy.

Jungkook, please save me.

"Oh, Okay Hyung. I'll be back later! Bye!!" Jungkook you traitor.

As Jungkook exited the house, we cue another awkward silence.

Taehyung also saw a dog who slipped inside when Jungkook went out.

The dog was near his leg now and was about to lick his left hand which was resting on his knee.
