"Cass? Cass!! Open the door!" Dean yelled when Castiel closed the door on them.
Cass walked further into the building looking for the witch. "Angel." A voice whispered in his head.
Dean started banging on the door, "Castiel open the damn door!!"
"Witch." Cass growled his wings unraveling.
"I see you and the hunter have been busy." She sneered.
"Calm down Dean, He's an angel, he'll be okay. He can handle it." Sam said, trying to calm Dean down, "Shut up Sam!" Dean said.
"Maybe we have. Where are you?" He growled.
"Hmm. Someone's angry. Killing me won't reverse the spell, in case you were wondering." She said.
Dean walked around to the back of the building with Sam so he could see if there was another way of getting in.
"I know," Castiels eyes widened as he fell to the ground with a yell.
"Oh, that's not good. He hasn't broken the spell has he?" She asked.
Dean couldn't find another way in. He was getting angry but also extremely worried for Castiel.
"No... How is it broken?" Cass asked in horrible pain.
"I can't tell you or else it won't work. If I tell you he can't help you. I'm just surprised he hasn't done it yet." She said thoughtful.
Dean went back up to the front door and banged on it again, hoping for Castiel to answer, "Cass!!"
"Why do you care? Y-" he screamed in pure agony. The lockdown on the building was slowly breaking.
"I don't..." She said. "But, let's just say I'm a cupid for those who need it."
Dean heard Castiel screaming and his face paled drastically, "Castiel!!" He called out and tried opening it again.
Cass screamed again as the pain shot through him again.
"You're going to die if he doesn't save you, and I'm sorry."
The barrier shattered on the building and everything was open.
Eventually Dean was able to open the door. When he did, he rushed inside to Castiels side. "Cass, Cass are you okay?" He asked.
Cass screamed again. "D-Dean..." He choked out in a broken whisper.
Dean would've kissed Castiel there to try and make him feel better, but since Sam was there, he didn't. "C'mon, let's go back to the motel." He said as he helped Castiel up off the ground.
Cass screamed again and went limp in his arms. "D-Dean--"
Dean cut him off, "We're gonna fix this and save you--"
This time Castiel cut him off, "Listen to me Dean, I am dying." He said as stern as he could.
"No you're not... Don't say that Cass, you're not dying." Dean said quietly as he held onto Castiel tightly.
"I know I am. Y-you remember when I told you I l-loved someone?" Cass asked, his voice breaking.
"Y- Yeah... I remember..." Dean said as he looked down at Castiel.
"His name is Dean. And I loved him from the m-moment I saw him." Cass said, then he let out a peircing scream. His eyes started to droop as well.
Dean started to cry at that. He didn't want Castiel to die, not now. Especially since he just told him that. Dean kissed him deeply, not caring anymore that Sam was there.
Cass's lips didn't move. His eyes closed and he went limp. He loved Dean with all of his heart. He'll never stop loving him, even when his heart stops beating.
Dean pulled away and looked at Castiel, "No... Cass, wake up.." Dean cried, "Cass please.." He begged.
Castiel was gone. Castiel with the impossible blue eyes and wings, was gone. The only one Dean let himself get close to in so long, was gone. The angel that made Dean want to wake up in the morning, was gone. Again.
Dean put his head on Castiels chest and cried. A few heart wracking sobs escaped him. "Y-you can't leave Cass. I t-told you I'd take you to get the b-best--" He cleared his throat that was extremely dry, "to get the best p-pie ever, remember? You can't l-leave. Please wake up. Wake up. P-please." A tear rolled down his cheek.
Sam frowned and put his hand on Dean's shoulder, but Dean only shrugged him off.
"P-please... I need you-- I-I love you." He whispered as the last shred of hope dissapeared inside of him.
Castiel was held tight to Dean's chest. Dean never wanted to let go of him. If he saw him dead it would make this real. He didn't want it to be real. Right now, inside, Dean was a scared little boy who just lost his only friend. The only one that he loved and has loved him in so long.
This is why Dean refuses to love. Everyone he loves dies or leaves him. Love only brings pain, and Dean shouldn't have let himself care about the angel with the blue eyes that saved him from hell. Dean was a fool. Dean is poison.
It all just... It all just happened so fast.
"I love you!" He cried into his chest.
Sam just stood there breaking for his brother. He hasn't been this hurt since mom, and that scares Sam. Dean was never the same after mom, so what will he become now?
Dean froze. His entire body stiffened and he lifted his head up before l up.
Sam's eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
Cass was breathing and he moved his hands up to clutch Deans jacket. "D-Dean?" Cass whispered, his voice was hoarse from the screaming.
Dean looked relieved, but was still worried and crying when he saw Castiel, "C- Cass?"
"Y-yes, Dean, I'm okay..." Castiel reasured in a whisper.
Dean pulled him to his chest in a tight hug and his breath hitched as more tears fell. "I love you." Dean repeated in a whisper about three times.
Dean then pulled back and kissed Cass passionately on the lips. Castiel gladly returned the gesture.
"Is the spell off?" Dean asked him softly as he pulled back from the kiss when he asked.
"Yes, I think so. You broke it." Cass said smiling. It's like they totally forgot about Sam who was in the same room.
"Thats... Thats amazing." Dean smiled, "Thank God." He said as he kissed him again.
