"I DON'T WANT TO DIE! I DON'T WANT TO DIE! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!" I yelled, my knuckles turning white, as I gripped the railing harder and harder.

"I knew I shouldn't have gone on this cruise trip. This is all a big huge mistake!" I thought to myself. "I will never have kids, I will never have a family! I won't even experience sex! I'm going to die a virgin!"

I could feel the ship tilting, but I couldn't move. I was too shocked. It was a commotion at the deck. There were those trying to get a hold of anything sturdy, and those running and sliding.

"I'm sorry to all those who I have done wrong to! I'm sorry Ari for flirting with your boyfriend! I'm sorry Auntie Em for lying to you about needing money for school when I wanted to go on a vacation to Japan! I'm sorry..."

And I just went on and on, until I heard the captain make an announcement.

"Everyone please remain calm! We have determined the issue, and in a couple of minutes the ship will be back to normal. When it does, attendants will help you all to your rooms, and we will have to evacuate the ship for safety measures."

I didn't realize that I was holding my breath the whole time.

"I'm gonna live," I said to myself. "Oh my goodness, I'm going to-"

"Yes, you're going to live." the man said.

"Excuse me?"

"You've been talking to yourself for a while now. Out loud."

Embarrassment filled my face, turning it into a bright red tomato.

"Uhm... Uh..." I stammered. "Sorry about uhm... Disrupting you." I couldn't believe I just spilled all of my deepest darkest secrets to a complete stranger. Talking to myself is a curse. A horrible, terrible curse.

"It's all good." He said, and ignored me during the whole wait.
