"Hey. Fiona." I said into the phone.

"Elena?" She asked.

"I'm not gonna be able to make it in today." I said.

I leaned back against the wall beside the door, keeping my eyes on it cautiously.

"I need you. We're really busy." She said.

"Can you call in anyone else?" I asked.

She sighed. "I can try."

"If no one else can, I'll try and come in but I can't make any promises." I said.

She hung up and I sighed. I went back into the kitchen and tried to distract myself. The doorbell rang and I stopped. Slowly, I walked towards the front door and opened it, revealing Scott. We stared at each other silently.

"Oh. Come in." I said stepping aside.

"Actually. Is it alright if my wife and kid comes in?" He asked.

I looked down at his left hand to see a ring.

"You're married." I said, accidentally letting out a laugh.

I quickly covered my mouth. "Sorry."

He laughed. "It's fine. I find it hard to belief myself, actually."

"Yeah. They can come in." I nodded.

"Great." He said.

He turned to a car parked outside the house. A woman stepped out from behind the car with a baby in her hands.

"Come on." Scott gestured to her.

She walked up and Scott turned to me while putting his arm around her shoulder. "Elena. This is my wife ,Tamara, and our one year old daughter, Lucy. Tam, this is my younger sister, Elena."

"Hi. Nice to meet you." She smiled.

"You too." I smiled back and stepped away from the door once again. "Come in."

They stepped in and I lead them to the kitchen.

"It's just you living here?" Tamara asked.

I nodded. "Yeah."

"How'd you get all this stuff?" Scott asked.

I turned to him. He raised an eyebrow.

"Dad kept calling me so I threatened him. Made a deal that if he bought me furniture for this place I wouldn't take more "damaging" steps." I shrugged.

"You haven't changed." Scott laughed.

I rolled my eyes and continued to the kitchen with them following me.

"Are you and Lip together?" Scott asked.

I shook my head.

"You serious? Isn't that the only reason you came back here?" He asked.

"No. I came back because I missed everyone. Plus I was alone for years since dad kept running off with different women." I said.

"That's how your life's been?" Scott asked.

I nodded. "How's yours been?"

"Better, actually. Left jail, few years later ran into Tamara at a party. Then after dating for about two years, got married. Two years in marriage we have this little one." He said, gesturing to Lucy.

"Can I hold her?" I asked.

Tamara nodded and handed her over.

"Hi." I said to Lucy.
