Faith on the Frontline : Dealing With Life And All As A Christian Teen

1 - TESTIMONY

#JESUSMUSICOFTHEDAY : Hills and Valleys by Tauren Wells

Hey Christian warriors! I'm Isaac, a 16 year old Christian teen, saved by grace through faith, who is deeply enamored of God.

 Here's my testimony :

 Engulfed in sin and darkness 

The old was fragile and weak 

Fettered by chains of pain and insecurity

 The old was hopeless and his life seemed bleak

 Emptiness filled his broken heart 

The old, at night, cried himself to sleep 

On his back, the weight of the mountain 

The old was burdened, unable to stand, let alone leap

 Wandering through his dark, lonely world

 A light within him shone as bright as the sun

 It spoke, " Come to me, i'll give your rest"

 The old embraced the light, the hurt now were all gone

 The Light was the Lord 

And the Lord, his Saviour

 Saviour of his weary soul

His Knight in shining armor

 Liberated and free 

From chains of pain and insecurity 

The new was a kingdom advancer 

A knight of God, A gospel sharer

 The path towards the Kingdom

 An arduous journey it is

 But with faith in his heart 

He'll arrive just in time for the Feast

 I am actually a Roman Catholic. That being said, I only knew God's name but not who He really is. I wasn't so interested in knowing Him. It had always seemed like attending Sunday mass was equivalent to torture.But during those times, I was the "typical insecure kid" who felt so empty and hopeless all the time. I wasn't contented of my self. So I developed inferiority complex. I always isolated myself from people and rejected them. I felt not enough for their attention nor their time. As a result, i hit rock bottom. But i didn't think i did because i kept sinking. 

 It was the darkest and lowest chapter of my life. But until my brother, introduced me to a Catholic Prayer Meeting called the Feast.There, i became closer to God. He filled the void in my heart. 

 It amazes me how God, despite how many miles you travel away from him, will relentlessly pursue you. 

 This might seem like a run-of-the-mill testimony but trust me, I went through so much but God's unconditional love for me became the reason why I surmounted every "valley" in my life. 

 God is Amazing!
