Good guys bad girls.
story 1
--------
"On any given night in New York City, it can be overwhelming when it comes to hearing livemusic. From the massive big-room setting of Madison Square Garden down to the rapidly expanding Rockwood Music Hall, listeners benefit from a cut -throat environment for musicians.
The truly great, tend to stand out. If seeking good live sound and as pleasant an atmosphere as possible is what you need then come..."
"Good lord Kaycee how many times do you have to read that brochure!" Kiara lamented, it was only the third time. I don't know why it fascinated me at the time, I had just been dumped, on my birthday and my bff so willingly offered to take me out for a concert. Swore it would take off a load from my chest and I took her up on the offer, it had been ages since I last went out anyway.
"On any given..." I'd started off again when she yanked the brochure from my hand and threw it to the backseat. I groaned frustratingly.
"So help me god if you utter another sappy word, I'll drive you right back to your dimly lit dorm room." She warned. "Then we'll see if those tears will do you any good."
"Fine." I grumbled.
"Great! Because we are here, now you can quit fussing about everything." Kiara said as we stepped out of the car. My best friend Kiara and I had somewhat luckily gotten tickets for Rio Bravo.
I only knew one of their famous song, American man and didn't shy away singing along each line. Even though my voice was extremely crocky, good thing nobody heard me above the noise. That, and the effect of alcohol from the shots Kiara kept ordering.
Maybe I was drunk in the VIP suite Kiara's boyfriend managed to sneak us in. Maybe just maybe, it wasn't an illusion some fantasy that the lead singer, who's also the guitarist of the band beckoned me to join him. From the bar seat I sat on taking my last shot I saw his smile and I couldn't help but smile back. Kiara had long left sneaking around with her boyfriend,
"So much for a girls night out." I huffed taking to my feet which led me to the gorgeous single singer. A hand held mine stabilising my dizzy self. The goody douche with a weird stance and rugged hair stood before me bringing me to a sudden halt.
"Oh, hey! Wait a minute." He said.
"Excuse me!" I scowled holding my drink which almost slipped from my hand.
"You know uh..." He stuttered. "I don't mean to be presumptuous but...I wouldn't do that if I were you." He said eyeing me. My concentration however shifted to the lead rocker who waved at me, I chortled.
"I mean he sleeps with a lot of girls you're guaranteed to wake up with a rush." The obnoxious guy warned.
"Thanks for the tip." I said disinterested sipping my beer.
"I don't wanna see you get snared in his web. You look like a nice girl and all so..." He said concerned his look locked to my visage, as if he cared.
"I'm not a 'nice' girl..." walking away, right before some bouncer shoved me back to his presence. I growled.
"Well in that case I'm Louis, guys call me Lu. Pleasure to meet you. ..no? Okay." I stared at him blankly as he made a fool of himself. He sighed, taking back his arm.
"Look, I don't wanna hurt your feelings but you're wasting your time." I said pointing my bottle to his chest.
"So, talking is a waste of time?" He asked teasingly.
"We aren't talking. You're flirting with me and also cock blocking your friend." I said smirking at him.
"Bon Jovi over there?" He asked making a mockery of him. I rolled my eyes.
"He's actually not my friend, his a dick. I'm just feeling in for the bass guitarist, Chad Stocker." He said shly.
"You're cute Lu, but you reek of romance and good intentions. I'm not looking for a nice guy, I don't do boyfriends anymore and I don't date. " I acquainted him.
"All I heard was don't, don't, don't." He taunted flashing out three of his fingers chronologically.
"Well, don't keep your hopes up." I lashed at him a little scorned because he was saying the truth.
"Ooh..." he said in a low voice.
"I'm gonna go," I stated.
"Fine, I'll see you in class." He shouted as I walked away having sobered up a little from that conversation.
"Do we have a class together?" I turned to ask him almost calling out his bluff.
"Advanced fiction writing." He informed.
"I don't remember you," I muttered aimlessly.
"Well I remember you, you have a book that's almost getting published. Your dad must be thrilled." He said.
"You know an awful lot about me Lu," I said puzzled.
"Uh...writer's are an envious bunch."He said.
"What's his name?" I asked glancing at the lead singer from my shoulder.
"His name is Josh, have fun." He disdainfully replied.
"I will," I said flirtatious toasting his bottle of beer before leaving him.
I don't think I saw Kaycee after that, so I left with Josh, feeling somewhat guilty that I had blown off Lu.
But maybe I am the that girl.

A/N:
Hey guys hope you liked it.
I owe the plot and some of the conversations lines to a dear movie. Any right guess gets the dedication.
Shirsha.
