After answering all of my questions, James offered showing me around. There wasn't much to see. He showed me the boys "dorm" and where they all went for lunch. After that we went back to the girls dorm and I looked through my bag. My phone was still in there and I guess I must've looked very puzzled because James said "I was surprised too. They really just let you keep it for games and to watch tv shows. You can use social media, but you cannot tell anyone anything." He pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Well I wasn't planning on it. I only have two good friends anyway." He smiled and said that we was the same way. A few girls came in and out of the room and from what I saw there were only about 9 of us there. I'd expected a lot more.

"James, I don't know if you'd know the answer to this, but why are there not that many of us?"
He shrugged and just sat still for a minute, then looked up. "I don't know for sure, I just don't think ice is that common." I nodded and proceeded to go through my bag. I pulled out some books and notebooks. James took his eyes off of his phone screen and glanced over at my books. He looked back at his phone, but then quickly looked back at the books. "Wait a second" he picked one up and said "I love this book." as he began to run his fingers through the pages.

Something I found interesting is that when the kids ate dinner the trainers did too. They were all men and there were only three. I asked James how they become trainers. He told me that basically you just have to be dedicated to it and you can't have kids. When you have kids your powers will drain out and go to them. There's not always a chance that you'll get them. Both of my parents had them, so I was for sure going to get powers, but James said only his mom had them, he was lucky enough to get them. I asked what he meant by lucky and he just shrugged.
"I guess it makes me feel cool knowing I'm not like every other 16 year old boy. Makes me feel like I could actually do something. You know? Something good, but in a super cool way." I laughed and the funny thing is, I did get it. James didn't really seem like the type of kid that didn't have anything to do with anyone back when he was home. He must've known what I was thinking because soon after he said "In case you're wondering, no, I wasn't that popular back at home." Moments later a group of four kids got up and left. I noticed that I could see the trainers really well. The second I looked over at them my eyes instantly locked with one of theirs. I automatically felt awkward, so I looked away. I felt his stare, its like he was expected me to just get up and approach him. It didn't seem like a bad idea, but what would I even say? "Oh hi, I just wanted to stop over here and say hello because I just happened to notice that you literally wouldn't take your eyes off of me." Nope, didn't sound to good to me, so instead I turned to James and asked if we could just go back. He was fine with it and we went back to the room.

On the way back I asked "Why dont they have a problem with boys and girls being in the rooms with each other?" He tilted his head to the camera in the corner of the room. "They dont just watch it, its just there in case someone is suspicious or accused of something. They can just go back and look." I nodded.
