After what happened at the restaurant, I am constantly feeling restless.

I keep pacing back and forth at my office. Sarto was definitely careful and cautious last time. But somehow, even if the whole Montisanti confirms that he's hiding something and that he's indeed the Mafia Boss, ay hindi pa rin ako kumbinsido at sigurado. Parang masyadong madali yata?

But I shrugged the thought away. May isa pa akong problema, Leander's safety. Although we've been doing a totally great job in protecting him, hindi pa rin maalis sa sarili ko ang mag-alala para sa kaniya.

A knock from my office door pulled me back to reality.

"Ma'am?" Kristine opened the door slightly and peek his head.

"Yes, Kristine. Come in." Sagot ko sa kaniya at naglakad pabalik sa aking upuan.

I sat on my swivel chair and exhaled deeply to release all the negativities on my head today.

"Ah. Magd-deliver lang po ako ng papers ma'am. Also, dumating na po 'yong lunch niyo galing kay Doc." She said with a playful grin on her face.

Ever since Leander came back to work ay naging busy na siya. He had to catch up since he was away for a week. Dahil naging abala na siya ay hindi na rin kami sabay nakakapag-lunch. And because of that, he's been sending me my lunches ever since.

Katuwiran pa niya ay hindi raw ako kumakain ng lunch sa tamang oras unless I'm with him. And to stop himself from worrying ay magpapadala na lang siya ng pagkain para masigurong kakain nga ako.

"Ma'am ang sweet po talaga ni Doc. Although ganito na naman talaga siya dati pa, but he's very consistent po no?" She dreamily commented.

"Thanks for this Kristine. Pakipasok na lang ako no'ng lunch. I'll have it here in my office. Kaya ikaw, kumain ka na rin." I said to her. Sinaluduhan niya lamang ako at lumabas na ng opisina para kunin ang aking pagkain.

Maya-maya pa ay dumating na siya dala ang isang supot.

"Ma'am, alam niyo po. Happy po talaga ako para sa inyo. Sa tinagal-tagal ko na pong nagtatrabaho sa inyo, nakita ko po kung paano niyo isinubsob ang sarili niyo sa trabaho. Tapos ngayon po, nagbabakasyon na kayo. At hindi na lang sa trabaho umiikot ang mundo niyo." Her voice was so full of sincerity when she said this to me.

I was moved by how genuine she truly cares for me. And the least I could do for her was to keep her away from my other life. I failed to do it with Leander but I did not regret giving him, giving us a chance.

"Kristine, you have no idea how much those words mean to me. Thank you, for being such a good friend. I just hope you also find someone whom you will share your memories with in every passing day." I returned the sentiments. That was the truth.

She deserves someone great. Who can giver her the life she wanted. To treat her like she's his world.

Kristine is a very bubbly person. She's so full of love. She has so much love to give. Kayang-kaya niyang punuin ng pagmamahal ang isang bagay nang walang pag-aalinlangan. She's just a ball of sunshine.

Niyaya ko siyang sumabay na lang sa akin ng tanghalian but she politely turned down my offer. Sabi pa niya ay nag-brunch daw siya kanina kaya kakain na lang daw siya ulit mamaya.

After having my lunch ay tinapos ko na agad ang aking mga gagawin sa resto. I want to finish my work early dahil balak kong bisitahin si Leander sa ospital nila. Since that is where he's working at.

"Uy si Ma'am. Ganadong-ganado mag trabaho kasi inspired." Kristine teased at tinawanan ko lamang siya. She's not wrong, but she's also not right though. The word 'inspired' was a little too cheesy, and dramatic.
