Brie POV
<><><><><><><><><><><><><>I arrived at the Starbucks where Cam and I always meet, with 3 minutes to spare. I quickly hopped out of my car and headed in. I walked through the door that a nice elderly man held open for me and smiled politely, quietly thanking him. I scanned the café once inside, finding Cam waving excitedly at me from a booth. People some times mistake us for relatives because of our similar features. She has sun-kissed skin like me and her eyes are a brown looking color kind of like mine. She has long brunette hair like mine, but is a little taller than I am. She's 5'8" to be exact.
"Good morning beautiful lady I love." I exclaim when I finally reach the booth, sliding in on the same side as her.
"Good morning to you too," she says bringing me into a sweet hug. My bestfriend gives the best hugs I don't care what anyone says.
She releases me and I settle next to her. I didn't bother getting back up to order because I know she already ordered for both of us. Our rule is, whoever gets here first orders, pays and grabs a booth. Only a booth. Never a table.
"So how's life been since I last saw you?" She asks putting her elbow on the table and laying her head on her fist dramatically.
"Well considering you saw me yesterday," I laugh. "It's been good." I nod. Yesterday she came over and we argued for three hours about which HSM was better, and that was after we watched all three of them over again. I honestly think the argument happened because we hadn't watched all of them in long time so it was nostalgic, and very much needed.
"I saw Lucas the other day, at Caruso's with my dad. He looked good, have y'all talked since your birthday?" I asked with a soft voice.
Lucas was Cam's boyfriend for like 3 years. And out of nowhere they broke up the day she turned 20 about 6 months ago. Cam came to my house crying to me that it was because he cheated, I figured they would eventually get married. Although when they broke up, she got even happier a few weeks later, so I guess it was for the best and I officially don't know anything about relationships. That's why I don't get in them.
"Nope. The last time I talked to him was when I ran from his door step on my birthday, but soon after, I, I kinda started dating this new guy," she starts and my eyes widen. How dare she not tell me sooner.
"How dare you not tell me sooner!" I scold her causing her to erupt with laughter.
"I didn't tell you because I didn't want you to not like him," she says playing with the ends of her hair. Oh so thats why she got happier. I hate that she kept this from me.
