The Second Date//Last Chapter of this book

Saturday

10 AM

Hayley's POV

I wake up to the sound of my phone going off. It was a text message from Grayson.

Grayson- Hey just wanted to remind you in case you forgot that our date is today. I'm gonna pick you up at noon.

Me- Oh crap!!! I just woke up now. Is there any chance you can pick me up around 1?

Grayson- Yea sure.

Grayson- Glad I sent that text 😂

Me- Yea I am too.

Me- Ttyl gonna get ready.

I drop my phone on my bed and run to the bathroom to take a shower. I quickly turn on the water and hop in. I jump a little at the coldness of the water. I wash my hair, body, and face and get out. I grab my towel and wrap it around me waddling to my room like a penguin. I open my closet and rummage through it until I find the perfect outfit. I pulled out a black cropped adidas sweatshirt, light blue ripped jeans, and my white pair of adidas. I stood in front of my mirror and did my makeup. (Outfit and makeup shown above). I blow dry my hair and brush it. Since it was straight, I decided not to do anything with it. I grab my phone and purse and run down the stairs. I walk into the kitchen and grab an apple and sit down on the couch to eat it. My parents are sitting on the couch as well. My mom watching TV and my dad reading the newspaper.
"Why are you so dressed up?" My mom asks me.
"I'm going on my second date with Grayson." I say nervously and look down at my phone playing with the popsocket.
"Awe! That's so nice sweetie!" My mom says patting me on the back.
"Yeah. He's picking me up at 1." I say before taking another bite out of the apple.
"I'm so proud of you. You guys are gonna be such a cute couple." She says.
"Mom, this is only the second date." I say laughing.
"I know sweetie but I can just see you guys getting into a serious relationship." She says.
"Hopefully" I mumble.
Just as I finish taking the last bite out of my apple, the doorbell rings. I jump off the couch running to the trash can to throw away what's rest of the apple and then I run to the door to answer it. I open the door and Grayson is standing there.
"Hey, are you ready to go?" Grayson asks me.
"Umm yeah. Just let me go grab my phone and purse. You can come inside you know." I say giggling.
Grayson comes inside and sits on the couch by my parents while I run upstairs to brush my teeth and wash my hands.

3 minutes later

I walk down the stairs and go into the living room grabbing my purse and phone then standing behind the couch where Grayson was sitting.
"I'm ready." I whisper in his ear.
"Ok" he semi-whispers back.
"K, bye Mom and Dad!" I say giving them hugs.
Grayson waves at them and we walk out of the door. We walk over to his car and get in. I buckle my seatbelt as he puts the key in the ignition.
"So where are we going?" I ask.
"You'll see" Grayson says with a smile keeping his eyes on the road.
"Ughhhhhh. Just tell meeeeee!!!" I say.
"No. It's a surprise. Kinda. I don't know." He says.
"Ok fine" I say.
We pull up to a movie theater.
"Ooooooooo!!! I love movies!" I exclaim.
"I know" Grayson says giggling.
We walk into the movie theater and Grayson had already ordered tickets on the app on his phone so we don't have to go and purchase the tickets at the booth. We walk up to the ticket printer thingy for people who bought tickets already and Grayson printed out our tickets. He hands me my ticket and I look at it to see what movie we're seeing. 2:15--HAPPY DEATH DAY
"Grayyyy!!!!" I whine.
"What?" He asks.
"You know I hate scary movies!!" I say hitting him on the shoulder.
"Come on! It'll be fun!" He says placing his arm around my neck playfully.
We walk up to the concession stand and there is no line thankfully.
"What can I get for you today?" The lady behind the concession asks.
"A large popcorn, 2 large blue raspberry icees, and this candy." Grayson tells her.
"Ooo this candy too!" I say giving him some Reese's pieces.
"And these too." He says.
"$32.79" the lady says.
"Ok" Grayson says giving her $40.
The lady goes to get our stuff and we stand there waiting. A couple minutes later, she was done bringing us all of our stuff and we say thank you. My arms were full and I could barely see.
"Do you need any help?" Grayson giggles.
"No... yes." I say and hand him the 2 icees because he was only carrying the candy. We made our way to gate 5 and sat down all the way in the back. We waited 30 minutes while the previews were on and then the movie started.
During the movie, I screeched and jumped so many times that I can't even count. When I would get scared, Grayson would just giggle.

2 hours later

The movie had ended and I was relieved. I grabbed Grayson's hand and pulled him out of the movie theater.
"I see you liked the movie" he said with sarcasm.
"Shut up!" I say slapping his shoulder.
"Anyways, are you hungry?" He asks me.
"Yeah kinda." I say.
"Ok. Well I know this really good Chinese place if you wanna go there." He tells me.
"Yeah sure. I love Chinese!" I say.
We walk out of the movie theater and get into the car.

15 minutes later

We pull up to a small Chinese restaurant and get out of the car. We walk in and order our food. The man goes back to the kitchen and gets our food together. He comes back with our bags of food a few minutes later and hands them to us. We say thank you, take our bags, and walk back out to the car. Grayson and I decide that we can eat at my house so he drives towards my house. When we get there we go inside and sit on the couch. We open up our food and eat while I have Full House playing on the TV. When we finish eating, Grayson and I sit on the couch watching TV.
"Hey, Hayley, can I ask you a question?" Grayson asks me.
"Yeah. You can ask me anything!" I say.
"Well, I wanted to ask you if you'll be my girlfriend. Will you?" Grayson asks me.

A/N: You'll have to read the new book I come out with to see what happens next. I don't know what I'm going to call the next book so just stay tuned for a new book. I'll let you guys know.
