"Just when we think we've figured things out, the universe throws us a curve ball. So we have to improvise. We fine happiness in unexpected things. We find our way back to the things that matter the most. The universe is funny that way, sometimes it makes sure we wind up exactly where we belong."

I've always  envisaged what my first date would be like? I pictured something simple yet thoughtful, not too cliche and romantic. Something like a picnic on the rooftop. Under the grace of the moonlight. See, lazy yet impact-Lful. Yet all I have ever gotten from the moment I busted into a young woman of fourteen were  eatravagant settings at expensive restaurants of which my family owned. All these dates were with boys my father had handpicked according to their influences in the country, some the world. I had my first kiss on my sixteen birthday to a servant boy of my father ,named Rowry who four months later died of fatal case of Pneumonia. Poor Rowry.

Anyways I'm going off track here.

My brows were pulled together in disdain. Lips clamped shut, nose scrunched up and hazel swirls glaring off in the distant.
"This is your best way of wooing a lady?" I spat glaring at non other than Vain. A Vain I had yet to find out his surname.

He smiled. Smiled as if he'd done it all, accomplished all. "What? Thought you liked the beach."

The urge to punch the lights out of him had never been this strong. I was slowly turning into hulk.

We sat on a bench overlooking the ocean. Two takeaways from burger king were placed between us with a large blue speaker.

"Is this a joke?" I asked with total irritation. I mean it had to be.

Vain smiled lightly, sighing as he stared off into the breezy distance. "The weather is beautiful, the view is majestic, the setting is perfect and come on it can't get any better than burger king."

I let out a humorless laugh."Oh I bet it can!" I spat out "And it's nine in the evening and we're about to eat fast food! This is just pathetic! Lazy even."

Vain frowned before looking ahead at the smooth clash of the waves once again. He looked magnificent. His golden locks dancing along to the tune of the wind. His breathing was calm and collected. Silent yet loud.
