Chapter 1

Sophomore year

That was 2 years ago..

I don't really know if I loved that year or hated it.

Pretty messed up if you ask me.

It was the first day of school.

I was walking in the halls trying to find my classroom when...

"SCARLETT!!! OMG!!"

"GUESS WHAT!"

"SCAAAARRR!!"

Yep.. Few of my friends nearly tackled me. Kathryn, Gracie, and Savanna.

"Wow.. Happy to see me, aren't we?"

"Yes!" Gracie grinned then gave me a huge bear hug.

"Missed you so much!" Said Kathryn

"Awwww.. Miss you guys too! Now what was all the yelling about? It can't be just because you missed me." I chuckled.

Savanna's smile became wider and screamed "WE'RE CLASSMATES!"

"Wait what?"

I was really surprised because we were never classmates. I mean yeah we were but that was what? 4th grade? They were always in section B while I was always in Section A

Gracie grabbed my arm and dragged me to our classroom.

Hm.. I guess our school decided to switch up the classes..

"GUYS!! Scarlett is with us!!" Gracie yelled

Most of the students in the room cheered which I didn't quite get.

Was I popular? No. Was I an outcast? No.

Sure I had a lot of close friends and almost everyone was my friend but I never really considered myself 'popular'. I rather go with 'outgoing'.

"Sit with us!" Kathryn commanded.

I just laughed at my friends and their weirdness.

There was a seat beside Kathryn so I sat there.

I checked the clock and saw that we had few more minutes to spare. We just talked about our summer vacation and the next thing we knew, it was time.

"Good morning class!"

I turned to face the teacher and was really happy to see Ms. Diane. Big whoop for us!

Ms. Diane was the most chill teacher i knew. She was our language teacher.

"How was summer everyone?"

"Boring!" "Short!" "It's not enough" people were complaining.

"Yeah I know but oh well back to school!" Ms. Diane teased

"Noooooo!!"

I just listened to everyone complain and then got bored so I decided to tuned them out.

After a while I felt someone tap me.

"Hey, someone's calling you."

"What? Who?" I questioned

The dude pointed at Jamie Andrew.

Now I was really confused. Why? Jamie Andrew was the 'heartthrob'. Why was he calling me?

When I turned to look at Jamie he was already staring at me.

He started to lick his lips and then he winked at me.

I just raised my eyebrow and gave him the questioning look.

I ignored him but he wouldn't stop.

"Scar, Jamie is calling you." Kathryn said.

I was starting to get annoyed. He kept pulling the same move. What was up with him.

Sure he was good looking and all but I never really understood why girls would go gaga for him.

Little did i know that childish move was the beginning of something.. Something that I would laugh and cry about..

"So I'll be assigning the cleaners of the classroom."

Now this caught my attention. We always had to take turns in cleaning the classroom. Our school encourages responsibility and all that stuff.

"Scarlett and Jamie will be on tuesdays for the board and windows."

- What???!!

Being assigned together meant being together and I didn't want to be with the creep.

"I assigned you guys together because"-

Ms. Diane was telling us about how this person could control the other and how they can work together.

" And I place Jamie and Scarlett together because... Look at them! They look good together!" Ms. D teased

Everyone else started to tease us.

The idiot named Jamie just laughed and smiled while I felt blood rush up my cheeks.

Kill. me. now.

I was in for one hell of a school year.
