She finally boarded the plane. She was coming home from a long journey. First she travelled to Tokyo for business related stuff, and went on a boat to sail to Singapore. It was so beautiful. The sight. The people. Everything. It was time for her to go home. She surprisingly boarded on first class from the Singapore airlines. She knew it was expensive, but who cared. She couldn't find her cabin and she struggled.
"Ms. Vjorjbec?" A quiet voice spoke. She turns to see a short flight attendant. Very pretty. Had her hair in an updo and her hair color was brunette. Her skin tone was olive.
"Yes?"
"You must be Ms. Vjorjbec. I see that-" She started talking.
"I'm very sorry to interrupt, but you can call me Mali. I'm not old." The flight attendant nods.
"As you wish. I'm Nadrah Suhalia and I hope you enjoy flying with Singapore Airlines."
"Thank you. I just need a teensy little help." Mali used her fingers and looked like she was pinching something small.Nadrah looks at her with confusion.
"I can't find my cabin anywhere. Can you help me?"
"Yes. I would like to see your pass." Mali takes her pass out and showed it to her. She briefly skims through it and gave it back.
"Follow me Mali." She follows Nadrah and eventually ends up in her cabin.
"Sweet. Thanks Ms. Suhalia."
"You're welcome. You can get yourself comfortable because we will be taking off soon."Just as Nadrah was about to leave, Mali stops her.
"Yes?"
"How did you know my name?" She asked with suspicion.
"Oh. Only five people are flying first class today. Out of the five, you're the only female."
"That makes a lot of sense."
"Anything else?" Mali shook her head and Nadrah walks off. She was alone and she decides to get comfortable because it would be a long flight.Eleven hours later, Mali finally arrived in Moscow, Russia. She enjoyed the delicious meals she received and the amazing flight attendants. She decides to write a review when she got back home. She had a ride that took her to her hometown, Kasimov. From there to Moscow, it was a five hour ride. She doesn't know why she chose to stay in Russia. It's a difficult life.
"Are you sure you're half Russian and not a dumb tourist pretending to be Russian?"
"You can't be Russian and black. Choose one."
"I never saw a black Russian female. Is this a joke?"
"Being black taints the beauty of Russian people."
"Russian people are beautiful. Black people....eh...not so much. You're pretty hideous because you're black."
"If you were white, men would be all over you."Mali stepped inside her small but cozy abode. She lives on her own and she is fine with that. Her father and mother live in Bryansk. Her older brother was no longer around, after so many warnings from the parenrs to not get involved in Russian roulette. Each year, Mali would travel to the downtown area of Moscow to visit her brother's grave. Viktor Vjorjbec-from March 4, 1970-December 31, 1992. Just the day before the year 1993. She sighs as she relaxed into her fluffy couch.
Mali unbraided the braids and poof! went her hair. Mali's mother is from Guinea and has curly hair. Mali has hair like her mother. Ocassionally, her hair was easy to tame. Otherwise, her hair was a disaster. Viktor took on after his father, but his skin color was slightly lighter than being "mixed". The only thing was that he had curly hair like his mother. Mali has her father's dark blue eyes and she took on after her mother. She looked at her bags. She didn't feel like unpacking and took a nap.
A/N-Hope you guys like my story so far. I'll introduce the others later. Her name is not prounced like the country in Africa. It's prounced Mah-Lee because I know that some people will pronounce it like the country. Anyway, enjoy the first chapter
