"Please be careful."

"Mom, i know. Im almost 19 now, I know how to handle myself."

"I know, im sorry. Im just so worried, you have never been that far away for more than a day or two!"

"I'll be fine and i promise to call or text you atleast once a day."

"Once a day is noth-" I Was out the door before she could finish her sentence. I knew if i stayed there any longer she wouldnt let me leave or i would end up crying. What can i say, im a mommas girl.

The drive to the school is about a day, so i stopped for the night about halfway. I decided i better call my mom before she started freaking out and calling my phone every few minutes.

"Hey, Mom"

"Lynzee! I was so worried about you! You should have called sooner! You're not on the phone while you are driving are you?!"

"No, i stopped for the night in a little town about halfway."

"You better be staying in a Hotel and not a Motel. You know the Hotels are always better. And its not like you dont have the money."

My family has money, and my mom always thought less of people who didnt. But in that way me and her arent alike, I never thought any less of a person unless they gave me a reason.

"Yes mom, im staying in a Hotel. You do know that not all Motels arent nice. Just give things a chance, You always think less of something if there is something else that costs more. Just because its cheaper doesnt mean its not as good."

"I know, I know. I just want the best for my baby. You are my only." I could hear the disapointment in her voice.

My parents tried and tried to have another baby, but they just never had any luck. So that stuck me in the rich and only child catagory. I tried to hide that my family had money, I didnt want people to think that i was a stuck up rich kid. So i didnt wear any of my "expensive" clothes to school and I hardly invited anyone to my house..My first year in high school was when everyone figured out, my mom decided that i should have a birthday party and hacked my E-mail account and invited everyone over to our house. Then the secret was out. So i didnt feel the need to hide my expensive clothes anymore but i still didnt go around telling people.. I just counted myself lucky. Yup, thats me....Lucky Lynzee.
