I was luckily able to free myself all on my own but my arm is shattered. Even with my ability to regenerate it is going to take me a while to heal. I needed to hide this from the squad until it's fully healed. I hear Chato call out for me while Flag questions what he's doing. Of course, he would be the first person so realize I'm gone. I climb over the side of the helicopter using my one good arm, "Over here guys", I'm immediately welcomed with Chato's hands grabbing me and helping me down. He brought me into his embrace which crushed my arm even and that's when I know I can't hide this injury long enough.

I wince from the contact and Chato picks up on it automatically but I don't allow him to ask about it as I break away from him and walk off. I catch up with Flag as he talks to his military squad about the plan. We get a fair distance before I hear a lot of ruffles behind me. I turn and see Boomerang and Slipknot trying to escape. Katana goes after Boom and I go for Slipknot. She and I let out a battle cry and ran toward our targets. Slipknot uses a grappling hook so I push to pass some people and go flying after him but someone grabs my foot and pulls me down. I turn and threw a punch with my good arm but the person catches it and then pulls me close and holds me by my waist and the back my head.

I quickly see it's Chato that's holding me and I get even more pissed. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING SANTANA LET ME GO", I say pushing him away with my good arm. Luckily Flag had called everyone off so I don't look bad. I use my powers to push him a far distance away from me as I feel my blood boiling. Flag gets pissed, blows the dude's head off and then yells at the villains. I pull Chato over to the side.

" What was all that about ", I say while waving my arm back behind me.

" You know exactly why I did what I did. You think you can hide your hurt from me. Even you attempting to hurts me. Baby, you know I can read you like an open book, don't even try to say it's nothing. I see your arm just laying limp. I don't even want you to be here in the first place. You shouldn't be risking your life for me or whoever we're supposed to be rescuing. I need you to be safe, the last thing I need right now is to lose you", he said while staring into my eyes. Even though I was pissed his words got to me. I knew he meant well but I volunteered to be on this mission, it was my choice at the end of the day and I'd deal with whatever was thrown my way. I huffed an unhappy 'fine' and walked to the group. He followed behind me and held my hand. I squeezed it in discomfort because at that moment I felt my bones shift while they were healing, meaning my arm would be functional soon.

The whole squad continues forward, Chato and I lost in our own world when we were attacked. I didn't give Chato a chance to stop me as I jumped into action. Since I am injured my energy to use my powers were limited but I did my best at what I could. As we're fighting I see Chato move away from the battle instead of joining. I understand why but it doesn't stop me from being pissed.
