Amanda POV (As Zoey leaves to go get the next victim)
"You really think this is a good idea?" I asked as I tested out the timer, setting it for one minute.
"She's smart. I believe in her." John said as he grabbed the Billy doll so he can record the next victim's tape.
"I know she isn't my daughter but I do care for her." I was being honest, well John expected all his people to be honest with him. Who knows what he might do if one betrays him.
I came into the family when Zoey was two years old. Jill had fled the state, leaving John and Zoey behind when she had too much of what he does.
He always told me he could never place her in a trap, as she was the woman who brought him Zoey.
"You're right. She isn't yours...but you're the only one she knows as a mother." John said in a soft voice, which shocked me.
He always spoke with no emotion, except when he's speaking with Zoey. I looked at him and he held out his hand, beckoning me to his side.
I walked over and took him hand.
"She is yours to protect and care for. I can feel myself getting sick and I trust no one else with her. Promise me she'll be safe."
"Of course she will. I'll make sure she's safe."
Zoey POV
I was holding my Billy doll as we pulled up to a parking lot.
"Okay Zoe," Rick turned around to look at me as he threw on his pig mask. "Go sit down by the door and start crying. Then when you see me behind him, press on Billy."
I nodded and ran off the car as they parked it to blend in. I sat down by the doorway and waited for the sound of footsteps.
I finally heard them about 15 minutes later and started thinking about bad things. I cried my eyes out and I saw a blonde man with blue eyes look at me in concern.
He set down his suitcase and kneeled by me. "Honey it's cold out and late. Where are your parents? Are you hurt? I'm a doctor, it's okay."
I shook my head and held Billy to me. He gave a weird look as he saw the doll. Some might think it's creepy but I loved it.
I saw Rick come up behind him so I smirked, pressing on Billy's hand. Billy started laughing and the man looked at it like it was possessed.
Just then, Rick grabbed him and pressed a needle into his neck. I got up and Rick dragged the man into the van.
I yawned as I sat down in my seat, leaning my head against the window. I woke up to someone picking me up and opened my eyes to daddy.
I smiled and cuddled into his arms. I woke up and was on the single bed daddy has in his workshop. I sat up and saw another guy laying on the bed, unconscious.
I got up and walked over to him. I knew he was the same guy from before.
"His name is Zepp. He's a part of the game your dad has going on." Rick informed me as he injected him with a green liquid.
I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the building room. I looked at the reverse bear trap, wanting to touch it. Before I could, I was lifted up.
"I don't think so princess." Mandy smiled, placing me on her hip as she placed it on the top shelf.
I knew it was dangerous so I watched as she twisted some knobs in place on a new trap. I watched in focus, knowing one day I would be making some myself.
"Amanda." Daddy said as he came to the doorway. "I think its time to take her home. Wouldn't want her to be here while the game starts."
"Of course." Mandy nodded, walking us to the door, but stopped to let my daddy kiss me on my forehead.
"Daddy will have to see you a little later tomorrow my love."
I pouted, but nodded. He handed me my Billy and I held it to my chest as Mandy walked us out of the building. She drove us to the house, before helping me off of the car.
We walked in to see my daddy's friends, drinking beer while eating pizza. Mandy smirked, "Would you look at that. Pigs eating like pigs."
"Very funny." Rick rolled his eyes. "You girls hungry?"
We nodded and I grabbed a slice, before grabbing the juice box Mandy got for me.
"So John needs us to wait for another two days before going out for the next right? Because if so, I'm hitting Vegas." Rick said and others agreed.
"He won't need you guys for a few days, but stay close in case of anything." Mandy said. It was funny how these buff guys were scared of her, but I've seen her mad.
I don't blame them.
I finished my food and Amanda walked me upstairs. I changed into pajamas, Mandy putting my hair into a ponytail as she tied it with a red ribbon.
She sat me on my princess chair, before handing me my bowl of popcorn as she turned on the TV.
We watched a few movies, but soon she had to leave to help her part in the game. "Rick will stay with you tomorrow until one of us comes back for you."
I nodded, my eyes still on the screen. She kissed my forehead and I smiled at her. She left and Rick tried scaring me with his pig mask.
I kept a straight face, blinking at him in boredom. He groaned, "Any other little girl would scream."
"I've seen scarier." I giggled as he sat next to my chair, crossing his legs. Rick was very tall, but use to be in the army. That's why he's so good at what he does and he's very loyal to my daddy.
Rick is the head of the group, but Amanda is my daddy's top trusted seeing as she's survived his test before.
"What do you think is happening there?" I asked as I looked out the window, towards the factory in the distance.
"Justice."
