His Vital Piece (Jigsaw Book)

(takes place in Saw 2)

Zoey POV

I was sleeping peacefully when they woke me up. It was still dark outside from my window, but I knew it had to be really early in the morning.

"Come on baby we have to hurry," Mandy said, I noticed she had blood on her. I didn't question her as I ran to brush my teeth and put on a black tee shirt, some blue jeans, my converse, and Mandy put my hair up in a ponytail with a red ribbon.

She packed some of my coloring books, my crayons, my sketchbook, and some other things to keep me busy. I grabbed my Billy doll and Rick carried me to the car.

"What's happening?" I whimpered as he quickly strapped me in. Rick rubbed my head soothingly, but I couldn't see his expression due to his pig mask.

"Today we're gonna have a bit of a problem with police okay? But just don't say anything to them and don't let them know anything about Rick. You don't have to talk to them so please don't okay?"

I nodded and she drove us to the factory. She looked at Rick, "Take care of her. Zoey, I won't be here with you but remember, when the time is right, press Billy's hand okay?"

I nodded and she kissed my forehead as Rick handed me my bag. He carried me as we watched her drive away.

"Okay Zoe, I'm gonna take you inside but just focus on coloring and your dad okay? Don't give those cops the time of day."

"Are you gonna stay with me?"

"No hun, I'm gonna be at the other site but I promise you I will come back for you okay? When the time is right, I'll be here."

I nodded and he took us inside, carefully watching as we stepped over wires. We made it to daddy's office and I saw him wearing his robe.

"Good work." Daddy's scratchy voice said, "I'll take her from here." Rick set me down and placed my bag next to my play table. I gave him a hug, before walking over to daddy.

"Why are the cops coming? Are we in danger daddy?" I frowned at the thought of my daddy being in danger. He pulled me onto his lap and kissed my forehead.

"No princess, but daddy has to tell you a secret you can not tell anyone okay? These videos are not present, they're just going to be played but they are not happening. If anything happens to me, you stay put okay?"

I nodded and he kissed my head again. "Let's eat our food before everything begins." I walked to the microwave and pulled out our pizza and grabbed daddy some water.

After we ate, Daddy started setting up the TV room and placed a blanket over them. He wheeled himself to his desk and I sat at my play table, taking out my coloring book.

"Zoey," I looked up at him, "I love you." I wanted to run to him and hug him, but he told me to stay put.

"I love you too daddy." He winked playfully at me before turning back to his work. I continued to color but that was the least of my worries, but I didn't show it.

I was coloring for no more than 15 minutes when I heard a door being kicked down. I frowned, they were so rude! You can't just kick down doors as you please.

I already didn't like these cops. I heard a wire being stepped on and winced as I heard the gunshot. A commotion was heard but I looked at daddy, he didn't pay any mind so neither shall I.

"Put your hands up!" They pointed the guns at my daddy, but they failed to notice me. One smug looking cop stepped forward but I couldn't hear what he said to my father.

"Guys," a woman looked at me, "there's a child." All turned to look at me but I kept myself busy by coloring. They went back to trying to intimidate my daddy but I switched onto the next page.
