Dear Prince,
It's weird to say this but I somehow got a letter for an Analia?? I put her name on the envelope in parenthesis just to give you or whoever a heads up to open this.
The envelope I got in the mail was addressed to me and the correct address, but I'm guessing you put the wrong letter in the wrong envelope??
I'm sorry to admit that I read the letter. It seemed very personal. I guess that's why the letter was double-enveloped and taped up. But I liked how it rhymed ... I hope she gets back to you soon. Sounds like you 2 share something VERY special. I wouldn't know much about it. But WOW.
Your biggest fan,
Ivy V.
P.S. did you really write 99 songs about her???
Dear Ivy,
Thank u so much 4 writing me back. Yes, my employee had a mix-up. Please accept my apology 4 the content. I wish u hadn't read it but I understand a curious mind. Just please keep this mishap between us.
I've enclosed the original letter I wrote 4 u. I do read my fan mail when I can but I hardly ever get 2 reply. I find it unfair 2 write one back and not another. So I neglect the idea entirely. But sometimes I'm compelled.
When r u sending me the letter back?
Continue 2 love God,
Prince
P.S. 104 & counting
(original letter)
Dearest Ivy,
It was nice of u 2 write me. I don't always get 2 reply but ur letter was touching. U're a very sweet girl and very smart I see. U have beautiful penmanship and a way with words.
Sometimes God faces us with challenges we can't understand, but a storm can't last 4ever. Not even a hurricane. I wish I had a map 2 find Paisley Park but I don't know how 2 really explain it. It's a feeling that consists of believing in urself and believing in God.
As 4 my songs, all are open 2 interpretations. But I can say u and I think alike 😉 I wish u safety, peace, and good health on ur journey.
And I promise 2 never stop making music.
Thanks again 4 writing me.
Until I hear from u,
Prince
