During the later times people had other inventions that slowing destroyed the earth. For example Chlorofluorocarbons containing "necessities" such as Hairspray, cologne, perfume, pesticides and insecticides. Not to mention various cleaning products which also caused health problems as well as destroyed the earths ozone layer. And also weapons because which government is anti violence when it comes to getting richer and having a wider expanse of colonial control. So they stocked up on gunpowder, bombs and other nuclear weapons. All of the following contracted to the end of the world, world war III or so they thought.
