I'd done a lot of questionable things as a DSO Agent and honestly, it just comes with the job, but never in my life would I think I'd be doing this!
I chuckled to myself as I parked my car at the photography studio in New York.
If someone told me I was about to have a wedding photoshoot with one of my higher-ups I'd laugh in their face.
I smiled as I thought of Leon Kennedy as I locked up my car.
We had only met a dozen times in the space of 2 years since I'd been here and that was in important meetings that everyone must attend and we had only spoken a handful of times. Each time though had been pleasant and he left quite an impression on our first meeting when he introduced himself to me.
His confidence and the air of authority he carries with him drew my attention to him before we had even uttered a single word to each other, his looks kept my attention. With broad shoulders, long blond hair and that attractive smile he bestowed on people it was hard to look away.
He was good at his job and highly praised, he was determined and that determination rubbed off on everyone he talked to.
He was the head for a reason and his looks were a bonus. But all this made me nervous as I approached the building I knew the man was inside.
He was the best of the best, and I have been made his partner in our latest mission.
"No pressure Hannah" I muttered before I entered the studio.
The building had two floors and I was sent up some narrow stairs to the second. Portraits of young women and families littered the walls in frames or on canvases as I walked into the main room upstairs where I notice Leon instantly.
His casual clothing stunned me for a second, every meeting he'd attended he always wore shirt and trousers. Sometimes even dress shoes and a jacket but I'd never seen him in a casual black T-shirt and denim jeans and trainers. I got the feeling he'd be equally appealing no matter what he wore.
He stands to greet me, no one else in the waiting lounge. He held two coffee takeout cups in his hands and a dazzling smile.
"Hannah, it's good to see you again" he greets as my heart beats in my throat. I swallow my nerves and smile.
"You too" I beam and he hands me one of the drinks
"I took the liberty of ordering you coffee, I heard we'd be here a while," he says and he sits back down onto the blue leather chair in the small white room with the square window and the walls covered in more photographs.
"Wow thank you, you didn't have to do that" I admit being grateful as I take the seat beside him.
"I took a shot in the dark and got you a latte, hope that's ok?"
"Perfect, thank you"
I admit as I sip the coffee, still hot.
"Next drinks on me," I say holding the cup in my lap as I fold my right leg over my left the best I can in my black skirt.
"So it looks like you're going to be my wife for a few weeks," he says followed by a chuckle
"Yeah, there's a lot of jealous female agents out there" I admit
"Jealous men too! I have the files on me with all the information, we can read over them when we get the chance" he says as I smile
"Do they mention where we will be staying?"
"Yeah, along with our story we need to mesmerise and everything they've collected so far on these disappearances, I hope to start our search as soon as we get there Friday"
