"Well, I'll tell you what I told the police," the elderly woman says sternly as we asked her and her husband about their missing daughter Amber.
Her husband, the victim's father just sat there quietly as we questioned them, letting his wife do all the talking. The poor man looked distraught.
"It's got something to do with that damn ex of his Lucy! She's been trying to split them up for years the jealous cow, she's put my daughter through hell for years, the police say she's innocent but I guarantee she's behind it, she's crazy that one is, a fucking psycho!"

"Well that was a waste of time" Leon mutters, glad to be out of there.
"A jealous ex wouldn't want her ex being injected with the T-virus, his wife maybe but it doesn't seem like that's the case here," I say thoughtfully
"Well hopefully we'll be third time lucky," Leon says as we drive to our last destination of the day.

This middle-aged man who was married with 4 kids didn't know any of the victims. This is the man that found the body of the second wife that went missing, Melissa Turpant.

"I'm telling you I'm a doctor and I've seen a lot of shit in my time dealing with disease and death but I have never, never seen anything like that before in my life! That, that wasn't human, not anymore"

"He looked terrified just explaining her to us," I say sadly as I write every detail I can remember into my notebook. Melissa Turpant had been injected with a strand of the T-virus. Of course, we already knew this before we came undercover to find the missing couples and the person behind it but we wanted to hear it from him ourselves so we could have a better idea of what we could be dealing with.

He had done some digging of his own though and he had found out who she was. He had left it at that though and had asked us to tell him what we find out, not that we could anyway. We needed to get this under wraps before more dead bodies appeared and stories can circulate about mutated corpses.

"Hungry?"Leon asks as we pull up to the house

I laugh, after all our talking on our ride home about this killer and mutated corpses he still had an appetite, although, so did I.

"What's for dinner hubby?"

We multitasked, putting away cutlery and our cleaning supplies as we cooked together, our minds no longer on our investigating and now on making this house a home for a while and filling our stomachs with pasta, chicken and cheese sauce.

We pushed bags aside to sit together up the table and generally got to know each other a bit more as we ate and decided to spend the rest of the afternoon putting the last bits away and sorting out furniture.

It was nearing 9 pm when I had gone upstairs to make the bed and it was then, as I crawled through the double sheet, putting the blanket corners into the corners of the sheet it finally struck me we would be sharing a bed.

I'd be sharing a bed with my boss!

My very attractive boss!

Cold shower for me before bed tonight I tell myself holding back a laugh

God help me if I was going to get through this without doing something stupid or falling for the guy.

"Hannah?" I hear my name as I hear footsteps jogging up the stairs. I crawl out of the blanket and look up in time to see Leon walk into the bedroom. He smiles as he looks it over, liking what I've managed to do with it in just half an hour.

"That was Hunnigan on the phone, here," He says passing me a familiar looking earpiece, beige and tiny so no one could see them up close. We wore these for most missions, especially if we could ever be in dangerous situations where we needed to ask for backup.
