"Oh thank baby Jesus" Adira muttered as she finally heard her flight being called out so that they could begin boarding. The airport was packed with people as they rushed around to get to their flights, to be home for Christmas in time.

She tightened her arms around herself to conceal warmth and cursed at the low temperature currently in Michigan. She couldn't wait to be home in her bungalow that she shared with her brother, in the warm heat of the Costa Rican sun. She didn't particularly enjoy the blistering heat, but she preferred it over the freezing cold.

She grabbed her phone out of her pocket and smirked as she put in her airpods. Owen had given her a little extra money and she decided to treat herself to some wireless earphones, it was literally her dream to cordlessly listen to her music privately. She wasn't sure if he had accidentally given her extra money or if it was on purpose, she had a feeling it was an accident since he never trusted her with his money after the time she bought a build in under the stairs cabinet for their bungalow, claiming she was just preparing for the future but in truth she just wanted to piss him off after he had pissed her off some time. She convinced herself he'd want her to be happy, even if that wasn't entirely false, she knew he'd be pissed about her splashing his precious cash. They both worked as fricken trainers in Jurassic World, money seriously wasn't a problem, he was just dramatic.

She shuffled her downloaded spotify playlist and grabbed her suitcase to pull the handle out so she could pull it after her. Her scarf scratched uncomfortably against her neck as she headed to the line so she could board the plane. She couldn't wait to get off the plane, she already had her favourite white tank top and black jeans under her endless layers of clothes, she was prepared to pull them out as soon as she breathed in the familiar warm air.

Her black boots squeaked against the shiny floors as she strolled over to the line with her bag in tow until she felt some weird alarm in the back of her mind, she felt as though someone was watching her. She turned her head in the direction her instincts told her and found the brown eyes of a boy her age watching her. He looked to be taller than her with his brown hair growing to no longer be considered short. He stood with three people who were obviously his family, his brother who looked to be around eleven jumped up and down excitedly as he stood with an impassive look on his good looking face with headphones on, obviously trying to ignore people as she did. He smirked when he realised she was looking back at him. She smirked back when his family suddenly began repeating questions to get his attention and he looked annoyed at them.

'Cute'

"Miss Grady!"

Adira sighed with a roll of her eyes as she realised Claire's assistant, Zara, was standing in the middle of the airport with a sign while she yelled at her to get her attention. Owen had probably asked Claire to send someone to pick her up, he was usually more busy around the holidays so she didn't blame him, but she was still annoyed that he sent Zara. She was a nice girl but she was overly perky sometimes and she was definitely following Claire's footsteps in becoming a control freak.

She sighed when Zara finally spotted her and began ushering for her to hurry. Just to annoy her, Adira decided it was the perfect time to strip her warm clothes for her usual get up, they only thing missing was her signature army pants which she wore when training. With Owen being in the Navy, he still had soldier tendencies, but she didn't mind, she was proud of him and liked learning the ways of a soldier.

She stuffed her clothes into her bag and made her way through large crowd of people until finally reaching Zara, who was standing with the same two boys she had seen before she boarded the plane back in Michigan.
