The next day I felt better, I took my backpack and decided to go for a walk. I left the shelter and went on a path in the forest, which was followed by the green trees and bushes. Heading to the river I heard a loud yelp coming from the other side of it, it was a dog trapped in the branches of a tree. Quickly dropping my backpack, I swim to the other side to get him out, as I took away the branches he put his soft, fluffy paws against my neck, desperate for survival, his sparkling eyes almost saying a warm thank you. When we got back he shook away the water and jumped on me while his tail was shaking happily. I decided to go back to the base and tell the crew about it.
As I arrived there the people were looking at him angrily while the fireman told me:"We can't keep him, we don't even have enough supplies for us."
I was surprised by their reaction.
