Rain fell from the sky. I was getting wet while waiting in line for food from a shelter. Im hungry ... i haven't eaten all day. My heart thumped as i kept getting closer to getting food.
After waiting for thirty minutes in the rain i finally got served. As i was being served my stomach growled. As i got to the end of the line i noticed it stopped raining. So i went outside to eat. I never liked crowded places, to many people around me.
Since i was young i learned to never trust anyone. As i finished eating i decided to walk to where i usually sleep. Under a bridge. The streets around me are worn down. Stains everywhere. Graffiti doing its best to cover up the scars of violence of these streets.
My life has never really been interesting. The only thing that separates me from everyone else is the birth mark thats on my entire right arm and part of my chest and cover a little bit of the right side of my neck and face. I really dont show anyone.
It looks more like a tattoo but i call it a birthmark since i was born with it. Well As far as i know. The reason i say it looks like a tattoo is because its just a bunch of black lines in some sort of shape. It looks like some sort of bird but i never really thought about it.
As i got near the bridge i noticed someone has been following me. Two guys. White. Both pretty big. Dressed in casual clothes. One was bald and another one had a buzz cut.
I dont know what they want. But they are following me. As soon as i get under the bridge ill slow down so they can catch up. So i can get a chance to fight.
I have a knife holstered on my lower back. Ready just in case.
I finally reached the bridge. Half way under it i realized they started to walk faster then before, catching up to me.
As they got right behind me i grabbed my knife and swung as i turned to face them catching them off guard. My knife cut the bald guy in the face. Leaving him bleeding.
"You little bitch!" He screamed. "Grab him." He barked.
I aimed for the other guy but he grabbed my arm and my neck, slamming me against the brick wall under the bridge. I was slammed so hard i dropped my knife in pain. He picked me up.
"Is he the one?" Asked the guy that had a grip on me.
"Yea he is the one." Said the bald guy as lifted me right long sleeve, and checked my right arm. He wipped the blood dripping from his face.
"You got me good, you little shit!" He Exclaimed. He punched me in the gut knocking all the air out of me.
Thats never happened to me i thought. No one has ever punched me that hard.
I was starting to black out. Then i noticed two other people coming. Im screwed i thought. But they started to yell "leave him alone".
It sounded like a woman. But i didnt get a good sight if her since i black out.
As i woke up i sat up in a second. I was confused. I didnt know where i was. I looked around and realized i was in a room. With light tan painted walls and some minor furniture. I looked out side the window and saw that i was in some sort of woods or forest, and some people ive never seen before but i noticed everyone had birthmarks or tattoos on one of their arms.
I got up and realized i was in different clothes. What the hell i thought.
I looked for my knife but i couldn't find it. Then the door to my room opened. I woman and a man walked in. I got in a defensive position ready in case they attacked me.
I noticed the woman had red hair and a fit body. Pale skin. And piercing Blue eyes.
The guy had short messy hair and Brown skin. He looked fit and strong. I also noticed they both had a birthmark just like mine on their right arm.
