The Plan for the Party

" According to them the party held here is the destination of their plan. We need to enter it anyhow." I roll my eyes and say," This is my hotel. Better use my name than that drama. It is a couple get together I received the information. I might be having the file. I will go through it. Give me few minutes." I open my laptop and start taking information about the party. I ring the manager he picks it before the third bell. He speaks," Yes ma'am. How may I help you?" He sounds comfortable and confident. I test him," About staff report of this month I suppose I lost it. Could you give me a copy again?" He agrees to it. Now is my chance. I speak," How about I personally take a look at it? He thinks for sometime and says," Yes, We have a party next week," I interrupt him by saying," What about today's party?" " Today, But it is a couple party, it has a theme of 'hidden identity." There is urgency to shift my check in his voice. William who came hearing my voice writes on a piece of paper and shows to me 'So what. I will find a partner before the party.' I speak his words and the manager says," The dress code is gown for ladies and suits for men." He then suggests ," How about we have a mask party?"

William again scribbles something' He is suggesting his plan do not deny' I read it and answer," Sounds interesting. Most probably I will see the party through the cameras it will not be problem." Hearing my words William stands up giving me an expression that says, 'What did you do?' His face tells me that I spoiled his plan. I hang up the call. He starts speaking in less than a second," Why did you do this? What were you thinking?" I reply," You planned everything yourself, You did not tell me anything and upon that we know the manager is with the opponent's team then. How do you expect me to identify the culprit when the party is going to be a masked one? We require cameras" He speaks something unexpected," By going in person." After that he collapses on the chair.

I take sometime to process his words and when I realize what he is speaking I exclaim out ,"What!" He puts both his hand on his ears and says," Don't scream like that. Anyone will get the wrong idea. I will thebecome culprit then. Over here every man until proved innocent is guilty and every woman until proved guilty is innocent. If someone gets the wrong idea then how do you plan on proving we are a couple. We need to enter it . How about you take the signatures of all the people who enter in then we can match it with the initial writing of the Paris letter. " He is getting off track. I try to convince him ," We do not want the writer we want the blackmailer." He answers," We know they have a plan regarding tonight's party. We cannot afford to interrupt in their plan. We will be able to know about the whole plot only when we can trace this step."

He is talking some sense but what if the Easton in front of our eyes is a fake? What if she read the letter before us? What if the letter was for the present time not past? I am completely soaked in my own thoughts researching about Mr. Spencer's record. I know that man since a long time. He works on certain principles. He does not compromise. His work is his passion. He will not miss a single chance if he feels he can get his work done by that opportunity. Come on I know he can be dangerously heady from time to time but he cannot kill anyone to get his work done.

I seriously doubt my own prediction because once when I was trying to stop him from destroying the 'Dexter's' company I questioned him," Would you kill someone for your own ego?" He answered," If it comes to my character my ego stands in defense to my attitude. For defending my ego I can do anything. Understand it properly." How I convinced him back then I only know. I was paid both cash and goods after the company recovered from the losses Mr. Spencer gave them. Is he the mastermind after all this? I decide to suspect him for the time being.
