ARICA

We gathered my two younger sister up and told them we were going to go see our other sister. The drive was forty-five minutes, and I fell asleep after a while. Finally we stopped at this pretty house, the bottom half of the house was covered in beautiful shaped rocks that weren't congruent. Mom got out and said, "We're here," as she opened my door for me.

"Thanks," I said.

"Your welcome," said Mom.

We walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. A young man that looked familiar opened the door and said, "Lisa!" he hugged mom tight in his arms. He said,"Lexes!" and hugged me too.

"Hi," I said, and realized who the man looked like, it looked like the pictures of Dad we had, but he had gotten a little older.

"Hi," Mom said.

He said, "I didn't see you guys for a long time. Lexes you are so tall."

"Thanks," I said. "I'm almost taller than Mom."

"Wow, Arica is not quite that tall," just then he noticed Margo and Lila peeking their little heads around Mom's long legs they were holding on to. "Is that Margo and Lila?" He asked in excitement.

Margo and Lila said, Yes one after another in their high pitched soft voices.

"I am so proud to say that I am your Dad, James, you guys are so cute, and you have gotten so old, all of you."

"Can we meet Arica?" Mom said.

"Oh, yes of course,"said Dad. He led the four of us into the family room that was the first entrance from the door, "Arica, come here. I want to talk to you."

I heard steps coming down the stairs, "What Dad?" I heard a high pitched voice like Margo's say. Once she got to the bottom of the stairs we both dropped our jaws. Arica had strawberry blonde hair like Lila's, and gorgeous blue eyes. She looked exactly the same as me besides I had darker brown hair and more of greenish tint in my eyes.

"This is your mother, Lisa, your twin sister, Lexes, and Margo and Lila are your younger sister's," Dad said as Arica looked around in amazement.

"Wow we look so similar," Arica said.

"We do," I said, I had never met someone that had looked so much like me.

"Are we going to live in the same house Dad?" Said Arica.

Me and Lexes said, "Can we please?" in a pleading tone at the same time and started laughing.

Dad said, "yes, go have fun girls, I need to get caught up with your mom."

Arica leading the group containing Me, Her, Margo, and Lila ran as fast as we could to Arica's room and fell onto her king size bed, and began talking.

"Wow, your room is so big," I said.

"I know, said Arica. "We just moved here last week and I kept saying, 'Dad why are we getting such a big house?' he wouldn't tell me, but I think it's because he wanted room for you guys to live here though. Sometimes it's a little creepy cause the house is so big and you're all alone in a different part of the house. But now I'll be with you three, It is so cool that I have younger sisters, and that I am a twin. I always wanted a sister, and now I suddenly get three. This is awesome, it was lonely with no sisters to live with in the past."

"Oh," I said. "I'm so excited to live here. Did anyone ever tell you that you are pretty? Because you are."

"Oh," said Arica with a nervous chuckle, "Thanks."

"Your welcome," I said not knowing what else to say.

Arica must have noticed because she said, "Margo and Lila, how old are you?"

"I am eleven," said Margo.

"I'm six," said Lila.

"Wow, you guys are old," said Arica, "Well I guess you have several more years to go to be a grandma," Arica was smiling so big she almost laughed once she had said this.

"Du," said Margo with a chuckle, "You're funny."

"Thanks, I'll take that as a complement."

"Guess what," I said once the others were done talking, "A few days ago I decided to go outside and play in the snow, because I never played in the snow before. I was making snow angels, snow balls, and feeling the snow for the first time ever. Then I felt really warm, but the snow is not warm at all, it is very cold, and my hands felt funny. All of the sudden beautiful shining sparkles coming off my my hands and rising into the sky forming a big huge snowflake. It was so beautiful, and I could not help but gasp. I went in side though cause I was getting worried." I continued with excitement rising in my voice. "I'll show you tonight if you want."

"OK," said Arica, "I can't wait, Dad will not let me go outside either though."

"So you never went outside alone when it was winter?" I asked.

"No, I've asked so many times," Lexes continued in a masculine voice with her lips pressed together as she quoted. "'You are not aloud to go outside, Lexes, you will get sick,' Dad says every time I ask."

My two younger sisters began to giggle after Lexes had stated her quote.

That night we both went outside, and Arica's hands also sparkled, and they got so bright, it was beautiful with our two hands shining. While we were out there together our hands were glowing brighter than ever before. That night we did some research and there was an old story that was told in 1998 by a few people. The story was about someone who had magical ice powers, the people who told others about the story claimed it was true and they watched the magic work, but they were not taken serious, they were put into a crazy home. We tried to do magic but it wouldn't work so we went back and talked in the house.

I said, "Arica should I tell you everything I know about this stuff?"

Arica said, "Yes, you know more?"

As me and Arica continued to talked my two younger sisters were half playing and listening to our conversation.

"Ya our mom told me some of it today."

I told her the story the exact way mom told it.

"Oh my word," Arica said holding back tears, "That's so sad."

"I know," I said. "I almost started crying to." when we came downstairs to say goodnight to mom and dad they were laughing on the couch. I was assuming dad had told a funny joke.

I said, "Mom? Dad? I'm going to say goodnight."

They said goodnight to Me, Margo, Lila, and Arica. Once we got upstairs I said, "They probably miss each other to."

Arica said, "I know they haven't seen each other in a long time."
