Dad was lying on the floor holding his stomach. His eyes were open and mom said, “You are going to be ok.”
Once she had said that, the dragon began to twitch. Mom and Dad both turned to watch the dragon. After twitching the dragon began to stand on its hind legs, its neck grew to the size it used to be before the head was removed, and two heads split outwards from the neck. Mom helped dad into the closest corner, and turned to fight the dragon. She got a weapon ready and pushed her hands forward causing the weapon to fly down the dragon's throat. The dragon fell to the hard ground of the cave and it was lying still. Mom rushed toward Dad and said “The dragon is dead,” as she began to help him to his feet.
Once Mom had helped Dad get to his feet the opposite end of the cave grew, it expanded more than 50 feet. There was a deep hole where it had expanded, and pieces of the floor stayed in their places making a few flat rock towers.
Mom said, “I think that is the way we need to go,” as her and Dad were staring at the large tunnel with countless rock towers that they knew they would have to jump some time eventually.
“Ya,” Dad said with a slight hint of annoyance in his voice.
“Du,” said Mom.
“What?”
“We can use our powers,” as mom said that she began to make a wide pathway out of snow.
Mom and Dad made their way across the pathway with Dad resting his one arm on Mom’s shoulder to help him get support. Once they had gotten to the end of the deep hole containing the thin rock towers, the pathway Mom had made with the snow and ice had begun to melt, and now they could see a door with a little brass handle.
Dad said, “I feel tired,” as he looked at his watch and noticed it was 12:00 A.M.
Mom had seen the time and she said, “We should both get some sleep.”
Mom helped Dad wrap his wound and remembered that Margo and Lila were still at the house, she began to worry, but Dad said, “Margo is old enough to make sure they are doing what is right and keeping the house clean, and I’m sure she is.”
They both laid down by the door trying to stay as far as they could from the edge of the rock.

“Where are we?” Mom asked with surprise, “I know we are in Lorlocks castle, but where?”
Dad opened his eyes, and sat up, he was sitting up by Mom, but they were in a colorful room that was very different from the one they had been in the night before. “I don’t know,” said Dad. He began wincing in pain and squeezing his stomach, he was feeling the pain from the cut he had gotten the night before on his stomach.
Mom said, “Let me see your cut.”
Dad lifted up his shirt and the cut was green with black oozing veins that were leading away from the cut.
“That is a really bad cut, we need to get help,” Mom said as she caught something moving in the corner of her eye causing her to look in the other direction.
As Mom and Dad turned their heads to see what was moving they saw a clown with a big red nose that was almost covering its mouth.
As the clown spoke in its eerie crackly voice, Mom and Dad knew they would not be getting through the next obstacle course easily. “Oh are you looking for your daughters? You will have to go through me next, this is a many way maze, there are some short cuts, but many are ways that usually takes longer than intended to, like a lifetime,” he croaked with a cackle. “If you begin to go the wrong way us clowns will help you stay. We will riddle, and riddle, but we will not laugh a little. You will not know when you have gone the wrong way without a clear mind. The clear mind is hard to find along with the white line. You just need to guess this answer, I will send you in a direction right or wrong depending on your answer, right or wrong.
