My Opinion on the Story:
Even though I'm only halfway through the book, I'm hooked!! Before I give y'all my opinion on the book, I just wanted to give y'all a heads up about the content in the book. It does contain a lot of content on religion, mainly Christianity. So if you are sensitive to a lot of chapters containing religion-based topics, you may want to be cautious about reading this book. Anyways... I am loving the book so far. April's personality is not cliche at all. She doesn't immediately fall for Derek and doesn't "crumble" under Derek's flirting. However... I did feel like Derek's personality was a bit cliche because his "I will change for my 'good girl' " personality. I've seen this personality in a lot of the male characters in the romance stories on Wattpad and thought it was a bit repetitive. Just my opinion, but if you like that type of personality in the male character of the books you read, then you will like Derek's personality. This book also talks a lot about suicide and depression, so, again, if you feel uncomfortable reading this content then I suggest you read another book. Also, April and Derek's relationship isn't fast-paced, it moves nice and slow, which I personally like. It takes about thirty chapters (roughly) for their relationship to finally pick up, so if you like a fast-paced relationship, this book might not be for you. Then again, I am not done with the book (I'm only halfway), so I'll post an updated opinion if I remember ;).
