Chapter Five

Everyone seemed happy for us. But Suho didn't act surprised. It almost seemed as if he knew. Like he knew the day he came over to my house when we were both there.

"Anyone else have any secrets?" Suho asked.

Everyone turned to Baekhyun and Chen. Then they looked at Suho and Kai. It seemed as if they were together.

"Fine," Chen started to speak.

He grabbed Baekhyun's hand and smiled.

"We're together," Baekhyun said.

"So are we," said Suho and Kai.

Everyone seemed happy now that our relationships weren't a secret anymore. I looked at Chanyeol and pulled him out of the room. He was shocked at first until he knew it was me.

I started to pull him to my car and he didn't resist. He sat down in the passenger seat and I got in on the driver side. We looked at each other and smiled.

I felt his hand grab mine and gently squeezed it. I started to drive back to my house and Chanyeol held onto my hand the whole time.

When we finally arrived, we both rushed inside and to my room. Chanyeol grabbed me and quickly pulled me into a hug.

"Project!" Chanyeol almost shouted.

I quickly grab my laptop and sit on the bed. Chanyeol sat down next to me and read over what we had already. I started to type what happened today. After I typed that, I typed a summary of everything that we already had. I then opened PowerPoint and started typing the different scenarios in separate slides.

I remembered that I had taken pictures throughout the time so I hooked my phone up to my laptop. I downloaded all the photos on my phone onto my laptop. I took photos from a scenario and put it on the correct slide for the presentation. Chanyeol watched me in amusement.

"You're fast," Chanyeol complimented me.

I looked at him and smiled then quickly went back to work. Chanyeol laid down to rest since it was late so I got up to sit at my desk. He finally drifted off to sleep and I just continued to work. I wanted to get this done as soon as possibly.

I almost lost track of the date and time until I looked at the clock and date in the bottom right corner of my laptop.

"2:36 AM," I whispered to myself. "And it's... Sunday?!"

I quickly saved the project and put away my laptop. I walked over to my bed and lay down next to Chanyeol. I wrapped my arms around him and closed my eyes. Shortly after, I fell asleep completely.

Morning finally arrives and I open my eyes, realizing Chanyeol is gone. I look around about to panic. I stand up and get dressed, trying not to worry too much. I grab my laptop and put in my bag, swinging it over my shoulder. I rush downstairs and decide to walk to school like I normally do. When I arrived, the rest of the members stood there. I was happy to see Xiumin was okay as he walked over to me.

"Something happened," Xiumin spoke slowly.

The rest of the members walked over to me. Baekhyun gave me a hug and started to cry. I instantly knew something bad happened to Chanyeol.

"Chanyeol was hit by a car coming to school," Kai said, looking at the ground.

Hearing what Kai said, I burst into tears. I was in disbelief. I didn't want it to be true.

"Thankfully he's alive," Suho said to try to calm me down.

"But he..." Kyungsoo started to speak but stopped.

"He is in critical conditions," Chen filled in for Kyungsoo.

I sat down on a bench outside the school and stared into space. I wanted to scream and cry. But something stopped me. I just sat there until I finally started to cry again. The members backed away from me, seeming as if they were scared.

Kai smirked but quickly put on a straight face again. I closed my eyes and as soon as I did, I felt someone grab my arm and hug me. I jumped at the contact and opened my eyes. When I turned around and look who it was, there stood Chanyeol. I rubbed my eyes and blinked rapidly to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me. When I realized that it was actually Chanyeol, I started to cry again.

Everyone started to burst into laughter.

"I'm sorry," Chanyeol said softly. "They wanted to prank you. I told them not too. But it looks like they did anyway. The only reason why I wasn't here is because I went to get us breakfast."

I stared at everyone and growled, warning them not to come near me or I would hurt them. I turned back to Chanyeol and smiled. He pulled me into a hug and I couldn't help but to cry again. It's not that I was upset, but I was happy he was okay.

"Please don't leave me," I whispered.

"I won't," Chanyeol said as he hugged me tightly. "I promise."
