Day 3:

I awake the next morning abruptly with the sound of pots and pans but of course I didn’t think of that. I’m still not used to the fact of not being at home, since I thought it was my alarm going off I started whacking about yelling at my “alarm clock” to shut up. Hundreds… well not quite hundreds but quite a few people were looking at me strangely including my trainer.

“Excuse me?” She says, or more like demands.

“Uh… um... s-sorry” I stutter.

She turns away but before exiting the door she turns around “I want all of you up and ready in 2 minutes!”

I rush around still not knowing exactly where everything is kept. I spot Skye and run over to her.

“Is she always like this? Please tell me no.”

“Sorry to ruin your hopes princess, but yes.”

“Hey I’m no princess” I poke my tongue at her. “Anyway where are the clothes?”

“Whatever you say princess, they are in that steel cabinet over there” She points to an old rusty cabinet in the corner, like the ones you see in garages.

I open the cabinet expecting a bunch of rats to run out but end up finding a heap of old clothes.

“I hope they are washed” I mutter to myself.

Skye must have overheard my comment and replied “Yeah me too, they don’t smell washed but I have seen people washing them.”

We get changed and await our trainer, Lee. The training then starts and we are taught the basics in defending and attacking and worked on that for the next couple of hours. We then move onto both shooting and throwing of knives. I have a bad aim unless I’m really trying to achieve something or I’m getting something out of it. That stupid guy who annoyed me last time with his unwanted comment was showing off and teasing me about my aim.

“Wanna see what will happen to you if you keep going?” I say to him before throwing the knife at the target, not missing a heartbeat.

His reaction told me I shouldn’t have been so hard on him, he swallowed and walked away.

Day 10; mission 1: Well first mission I’m nervous because if I don’t do well or if anyone finds out about the mission everyone I love back home will be killed. Even though my dad’s an arse, he doesn’t deserve to die as well as his skanky wife who hates my guts for no particular reason; apparently I’m “getting in her way”.

First mission is that I’m supposed to be an exchange student. I am boarded onto my plane now with Skye. She’s going to the same city but with a different family; hopefully we will go to the same school.

“Skye, how’s my accent coming along?” I say with my best British accent.

“Well it’s not the worst I’ve heard but we have hours to practice. After all, practice makes perfect.”

“Practice doesn’t make perfect it makes permanent. Only perfect makes perfect.” I retort with a cheeky smile. “Anyway Skye your Scottish accent is coming along great.”

“It’s meant to be European.” She says slowly before laughing extremely loud. So loud she awoke a man across the hall from his sleep, who would probably sleep through every other noise on the planet. He was absolutely startled. Well I suppose I would be too if I was sleeping and I heard a loud donkey/goose/monkey like noise coming from a plane which isn’t supposed to have animals on it.
