Chapter 12

A/N:

ok sooooo WARNING!!!!!! ummm this chapter is going to be a cliffhanger and i know some of you people hate those (me included ... wow hypocrite much) soo if ur gonna wait don't worry cuz i'm probably gonna update chapter 13 tomorrow... maybe but ya that's it ok byeeee :)

Niall’s POV

I slowly opened my eyes when I heard Sarah’s muffled voice.

I lifted my head. I blinked my eyes until the adjusted to the light.

“What?” I asked. I looked over at her to see her sitting on a rock. Her waist and legs were still in the water. She just had her underwear and bra on.

I looked down at her bruised stomach and frowned.

That’s got to be painful.

She noticed me looking at her stomach so she moved off the rock and swam closer towards me.  

“I asked how you found Rose and all of the bags and stuff.”

“Oh well the bags were washed up on the island. But finding Rose was a bit more difficult.” I looked over at her. Her expression urged me to go on.

“Ok well after you jumped into the water…” I began as the flashback came into my mind.

*flashback*

I can’t believe she just jumped into the water! Well I bet Greg would do the same for me.

“Sarah!” yelled Liam. He began to wave his arms frantically at the edge of the plane.

“What’s wrong?” I asked as I ran up next to him.

“She is going in the wrong direction. Rose is – HOLY CRAP!!” he screamed.

The rest of the boys were standing next to us.

“That wave is gonna hit Sarah!” Liam said as he pointed out in Sarah’s direction.

Our eyes followed in the direction that Liam pointed. And sure enough there was a giant a$$ wave heading towards Sarah.

We all briefly looked at each other with worry and started screaming out her name.

 “We’ve all got to yell her name on 3!” I yelled.

“1 2 3!”

“SARAH!!!” we all yelled together.

I could barely tell but she faced us. We all pointed at the wave behind her. I started jumping out and down screaming for her to get underwater, but it was too late.

The wave hit her. She didn’t come up for several minutes. I was scared.

“I’m going after her and Rose.” Liam said.

“Are you crazy?!” Zayn yelled.

“I’m going too.” I stated. I looked over at Liam and nodded. We both stepped back to get ready to jump in.  

But Zayn and Harry stepped in front of us.

“Are you kidding me guys! You could get yourself killed!” Harry screamed at us.

“Sarah was at the same risk and you didn’t think to stop her!” I screamed back.

Harry’s eyes widened. He stepped out of our way and moved next Liam. “I’m sorry… I’m going with you.”  

“Harry are you-“ Zayn started.

“Zayn just shut up and jump with us!” I said.

He looked unsure but got in line with us.

“1..2..3” I said. We simultaneously ran and jumped into the water.

“Niall and Harry go after Sarah! Zayn and I are going after Rose!” Liam yelled as we surfaced.  

The water was freezing. I tried focusing on finding Sarah instead.

Me and Harry headed off in her direction.

Have you ever been in a scary situation and your mind starts playing cool movie music in your head? Yes… No … ok, I was and mine began playing Ocean Avenue by Yellowcard, but it instantly stopped when Sarah’s head surfaced the water.

Immediately I yelled. “SARAH!”

Thank god she noticed me, but another wave hit her. The next time she came up her head was bleeding.

I swam toward her just as she pulled herself on top of a piece of plane. I almost made it to her but another wave came crashing down on us. Thankfully Sarah stayed on the plane bit, but she was unconscious.

The wave definitely put more distance between us. I started to swim after her again but Harry stopped me.

“What the hell Harry?” I yelled.

“Liam and Zayn have Rose over there,” He yelled pointing at a large chunk of plane. “We obviously can’t reach her and we’ve got to stick with the boys. We’ve lost Louis I’m not losing them to.” Harry cried.

I looked over at Sarah. There were to many waves, Harry’s right I wouldn’t be able to reach her and even if I did we would all be separated.

I didn’t say anything. I felt horrible just leaving her, I’d go to her if I could but I couldn’t get to her.

I swam up to the Liam, Zayn and Rose.

“There’s an island over there. We’ve got to get to it.” Liam stated.

I looked at Rose, she seemed very scared.

“Sarah.” She said so quietly I almost thought I didn’t hear it.

“It’s ok Sarah’s going to the island to. She’s gonna meet us there.” I lied.

When I said that she didn’t seem so scared any more.

Me and the boys started pushing ourselves towards the island with our hands. We were about half way there when Rose let out a blood curdling scream.

I instantly put my hands up to my ears. I looked to my right where Rose was looking at just as a giant wave hit us.

I held onto Rose and the side of our temporary “boat”.  I looked up to see that we were only a couple feet away from the island. Liam, Harry, Zayn and I made our way over to the beach.

*end of flash back*

“… It rained for two more days and then on the third day the rain stopped. And I guessing that that was the day you found us and Rose.” I finished.

“Wait … so I was out for two days! … Just wow I can’t believe it.” she said completely shocked.

“Hmmm that’s really … weird? I don’t know what to think about that.” she said as she began to float in the water on her back again.

I did the same. We were just floating next to each other in a comfortable silence until Liam appeared in front of us. We lifted our heads out of the water.

“Hey Liam! Where is Rose?” she said slowly.

Liam looked down and mumbled something.

he looked like he didn't want to tell us. he kept opening and closing his mouth then looking at the ground.

"Come on." Sarah said. "Spit it out."

Ha looked up. “Rose is gone.”
