Broken (PHAN NEKO AU)

Part 3

Phil's POV

I hear a "click" the moment the clock hits 0.

Did it work?

Or is he dead..?

Slowly and carefully, i picked up the collar and stretched it slightly so i could see the inside.

I immediately breathed out a breath i didn't even know i was holding.

He was alive!

The needle that was filled with the poison was halfway out as i didn't manage to stop the timer before it hit 0. However, because i stopped the timer before the whole needle was extracted, and because the little neko was so skinny, the needle didn't managed to poke though the skin of the neko so he wasn't poisoned.

So technically, the reason this neko lived was because of the owner starving it. How ironic.

Gently, i picked him up and brought him into my study and placed him on my spare bed. Yes , i have a bed in my study. Judge me. I then took a pair of scissors from my table and cut off the needle and disposed of it before covering him with a blanket so he could rest.

Slowly i strutted back to the couch where Lisa was and lowered myself to the same spot i was before, pretending that nothing had happened and hoping she won't mention anything.

" Where is it?" she growled, obviously not bothering to keep the disgust out of her voice.

Well that plan didn't work.

As much as i didn't want to tell her, I couldn't really keep the secret from her since we lived in the same house so i told her the truth hoping she wouldn't explode in anger.

"He is... in the study."

"WHAT THE HELL?!"

Oops.

I could feel the anger and disgust radiating off her while her eyes burned holes though me.

"WHY IS IT STILL HERE?!" she shouted, sounding like she was trying not to throw up while speaking.

I sat up, getting ready for a long oncoming fight.

"Do you expect me to throw him on the streets while he is still unconscious, weak and vulnerable?!"

"YES!"

I groaned.

" Why do u hate him so much? He hasn't done anything!"

"BECAUSE IT HAS A TAIL AND DISGUSTING TRIANGLE EARS! ITS A FREAKING DISGUSTING NEKO!"

My head was going fuzzy from her screaming and my eardrums were close to exploding. I had to end this argument before the whole street of people came over to ask us to shut up.

"This neko is staying here until he is healed and healthy. This is my house and i paid for it so i get to decide who stays. End of discussion." i emphasized on some words, finally exercising some authority.

I usually let Lisa do whatever she wanted to and let her get her own way but not this time.

I let her take in my words for awhile and i could see gears turning in her head trying to formulate a comeback but unable to find one.

After a moment of silence, she let out a frustrated scream before stomping into our bedroom.

I slumped back into the couch with a smug little smile thinking that i had actually won this argument of ours.

However, not one minute had passed before Lisa stormed out again, this time brandishing a pillow in her hand.

I started to get up, getting ready for yet another series of shouts and screams.

To my surprise however, she kept her mouth closed on her fuming face and just continued walking over.

She stopped right before the couch and threw the pillow on my stomach forcefully catching me by surprise.

"You're sleeping on the couch."

She turned on her heel before marching back to the room, slamming the door so hard that i was pretty sure the neighbors were going to show up on our porch and ask us what the ruckus was about.

I looked down at the pillow in my hands and sighed.

This wasn't even the pillow i liked.

I'm back(ish). Sorry for not posting in like a mouth guys😅 School has started up and i've been so busy and completely forgot about this book! Hopefully another chapter will come up before another month! I also want to thank the people who has supported this book. I know that this isn't one of of the best phan book out there but hopefully with all of y'alls support, one day it could be! For now, hope u enjoyed this chapter!
